Carousel 1512

I just spent a week in this rental. I have been going to Ocean City annually all my life (I am now 60 years old) and have been using Vacasa and VRBO rentals for the past 5-7 years. This stay was positively the worst place I have ever stayed in Ocean City. It was advertised as a 3-bedroom unit, so I invited 2 other non-married adults (i.e., adults that cannot share a room). When the first 2 of us arrived, we immediately noticed that bayside of the condo, including a bedroom, was over 90 degrees. As we walked down the hallway, the temperature dramatically ddropped and once on the oceanside of the condo, it was 70 degrees. There were fans all over the condo, so the owner clearly was aware. I immediately called Vue Stay who, although extremely polite, did absolutely nothing but call the local maintenance guy. When I spoke with Nick, the maintenance guy, he was well aware of the issue in this unit and explained that it was the duct work and the only thing we could try is closing our vents to force the air to the bayside of the condo. We did. The temperature dropped from 95 to 91. I called again the next day because my 40-year-old son was soon arriving and would be sleeping in that bedroom. I requested a portable air conditioning unit. Instead of supplying us with a portable air conditioner, Vue Stay again called Nick, who again called me. He offered to bring yet another fan to which I declined because we already had 4 fans going, and they were simply blowing around hot air. My son slept on the couch which aggravated his bad back (has a disc problem). He ended up leaving a day early because there was nowhere for him to sleep. That bayside bedroom was uninhabitable in these temperatures. Also, on our second day there, we discovered there was no water pressure in the kitchen. I actually sent a video to Vue Stay showing them the water pressure. It was impossible to clean dishes there. That totally explained why, when we arrived, the dishes in the dishwasher were still dirty. You cannot clean dishes in that kitchen. In the video I sent I showed the knives that had some disgusting material still stuck on them. It appears prior guests just kept leaving the utensils in the dishwasher in hopes of getting them cleaned. It was very unsanitary and unhealthy. I ended up buying paper plates and plastic ware. I reported this issue twice to Vue Stay but they only called Nick about the sauna/bedroom. Lastly, there was a mouse in my friend's bedroom. We ended up buying mouse traps. I am guessing that is because the unit is located next to the trash chute. I'm not afraid of mice and being next to trash chute I understand it probably is not controllable but after everything else, that was just over-whelming. It was such a horrible experience that none of us will ever stay at the Carousel again or ever stay at a property managed by Vue Stay. I don't know if Vacasa is a separate company or can do anything about this, but if not, I doubt we will ever use Vacasa again.
