Serenity is described as a wonderful home away from home with a spacious, comfortable feel and a beautifully maintained rustic charm. Guests appreciated that Serenity was very clean, nicely appointed, and well stocked with thoughtful amenities, along with ample storage, parking, and a washer and dryer. The property is praised for its peaceful, private setting on the lake, with a large yard, surrounding pines, and easy access to nearby natural attractions and beaches. Its gorgeous lake views, enchanting sunsets, and scenic outlook from the living spaces create a relaxing retreat that guests found especially memorable.

With it's prime location between two lakes, guests looking to travel far and frequently will find this home a sweet retreat. Dry off around the firepit after a day of swimming, or enjoy dinner together in front of the gas fireplace. 'Indoor kids' will appreciate the supply of books available for guest use. There's also a mooring for guests looking to bring their boat along for the ride. What's nearby: Set between Platte Lake and Little Platte Lake, this home is also within 14 miles of Long Lake, Rush Lake, and Crystal Lake. Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore offers hiking and lovely views just under 17 miles away. Golf courses abound in this area, the closest being Champion Hill Golf Course just over five miles away. When guests need a break from lakeside activities (or the parents want an evening alone), Cherry Bowl Drive-In Theatre provides fun viewing during the summer season three-and-a-half miles away. The cabin was just what we were looking for, the rustic interior and the peace and quiet and being right on the lake was awesome! Everyone was totally pleased with the cabin and it does live up to its name Serenity. We enjoyed having our coffee outside every morning over looking the lake. The entire property was amazing. Had everything we needed, and plenty of storage. We hope to come back again!!!

The house has a lovely mid-century vibe and is well situated on a clear lake with quiet surroundings. Unfortunately, there were several issues during our stay and management was not responsive. The biggest is a septic tank smell in the master bedroom. It’s only slight during the day but picks up at night — the tank needs inspected. The bathrooms do not drain well which is probably related to the plumbing smell. The WiFI did not work, which we reported on our first day. Despite multiple calls to management, no one remedied the WiFi or came to the house. I’m sharing this review in hopes that it helps get these issues addressed for future renters because the property and location have great potential.
