The property was absolutely beautiful. We enjoyed our stay, but be sure to triple check that you have everything before you check out because Vacasa will do absolutely nothing to return forgotten items back to you!

Charming lake house and great location. The property is large which makes it feel more private, the lakefront is stunning with clear water and soft sand, and downtown Glen Arbor, golf courses, Sleeping Bear Sand Dunes are very quick drives. Great experience!

I want to start by saying I have rented this house for the last six summers, and made wonderful memories here. Vacasa started managing it three years ago, and I have watched it steadily decline. When we arrived, there was garbage overflowing, and we had to fight with Vacasa to get them to pick it up. The beach was overgrown with weeds. Half the electrical outlets in the home didn’t work. There was barely enough kitchen utensils available to cook a dinner for your family. I made Vacasa aware of all of these issues. Their customer service is horrible. All they do is tell you that they will put in a “ticket” that never actually gets solved. I will say that the property and the beachfront on Glen Lake is beautiful and the property itself is beautiful. It’s just a shame that Vacasa is so horrible. I cannot imagine that the property owners are aware of just how bad they are and the neglect of the property.

We stayed here for a weekend, and loved this place. Great location on a beautiful lake, and for visits to Sleeping Bear Dunes. The deck, yard, dock, and the clear lake water were highlights for our family.

Inside: Upon arrival inside the house, the temp was in the high 90s. Inside we found hundreds of dead bugs around the baseboards and windows (several in old cobwebs in the same places). Found a few dead bugs in the bed after pulling back the covers. We opened the windows, but most of the screens either didn’t close fully or had tears in them, and more bugs came in. Also turned on the A/C units in each bedroom, but they are old/dated and only put out enough cold air to lightly cool the bedrooms. On the living room windows looking out at the lake, there were dried splatters of bird poop. All of the mattresses in the house are old/worn and you can feel the springs. Outside: the deck had trash left on it, and the furniture was scattered around and hadn’t been cleaned. The grill was covered in cobwebs and the grates hadn’t been cleaned. The grounds were covered with anthills about every 2-3 feet. All the vegetation was overgrown and unkept. The beach was overgrown with weeds and covered in debris. The Adirondack chairs on the beach were heavily covered in mold/mildew. We reported these issues to Vacasa, which they said they would contact the local office, but we never heard from them again… Our first full day in the house, my wife used the available cleaning products and vacuum to clean the house while I addressed outside. It’s worth noting that the vacuum was empty when she started, and it was filled when done. While she did that I went to the store and bought and rake and mold and mildew remover to work on the beach. I partially cleared a 30-foot area for our kids to play on the beach and then cleaned the chairs with the mold/mildew remover. Then cleaned the deck furniture, grill and removed screens from the windows to clean off the bird poop blocking our views from the lake inside the house. After cleaning all above, the house was suitable. But insects were a problem throughout our stay. Given the how badly the grounds are maintained, it was not surprising that bugs are all over. A quick walk to the neighbor's yard and we didn’t find any of the same concerns. Towards the end of our stay we started finding ticks in the house, and we left early. If they are in the house, I can only imagine how many are outside. We were traveling with two small children, so this was an immediate end to our vacation. Ultimately this property, inside and out, is not being maintained. If I was the owner, I’d upset with its condition. I’m kind of embarrassed I paid roughly $750/night for this place. I would not let my family or friends stay here.

Loved the location on one of the most beautiful lakes in MI. My family had fun playing in the water which was a bit warmer than Lake MI. The house was clean and comfortable. We were sorry we hadn’t planned a longer stay.
