The Summer House

Great place to stay. Many things to do within 20 minutes. Would recommend and would stay again.

Our vacation was wonderful. The setting is beautiful. Waking mornings to the sun above the lake to peaceful early evenings with swallows in the sky. The cottage is perfect for lake trips. Clean and well appointed. We look forward to future stays.

The property and area was great. We were able to dock our boat and also fish off the docks. The house however was not at all clean. The window screens were full of bugs. The ceiling fans were so covered in dust we would not have used them even if they worked. Which they did not. The water smells so horrible we did not shower all weekend and had to buy water for cooking and drinking. The fridge was full of crumbs and dirt as well as the cupboards. The bathroom was not clean either. There was dirt on top of the sink and toilet. Some of the furniture is also broken and needs replaced. Probably will not stay there again. We also sent pictures to Vacasa at there request, but received no solution. If you do stay here plan on cleaning when you get there and take your own water.

Loved the location. Beautiful lakefront, some walking paths close by, close to lake michigan and friendly neighbors. It was a warm week and we needed every fan we brought. The bathroom could have been cleaner and toilet needed fixed regularly by us as it was not working properly. Deck needs to be checked for wasps. Property management company was not responsive to our issues and questions. Overall, house was as advertised and we had a fun week with family.

Great view great location

The view was nice. But the place is not sorry! But all the bad view on here are right. 1. Rent double for nexts year. 2. All mini blinds broken. 3. Ceiling fans in living don't work have big issue! 4. Kitchen is not well stocked. No big bowls no measuring cups no sharp knife.no sauce pans. 5. Won't be back. 6. Stayed two wks. Owner live to the right never said a word or even ask if everything was OK. Neighbors to left are very nice. 7. Trash goes out on Friday got there on Saturday had to smell dead fish guts in trash can which already smell very bad for week when we took out trash . 8. I stayed here 8yrs ago right after upgrade. An its sad to write this review because nothing been done since then just let it run down. We even had to fix the bath room door handle. So who ever cleaned didn't tell owner to fix or owers . I do vrbo an this is the first bad review. I have done vrbo for 8yrs an rent once or twice a year.
