Overview
You’re just down the road from the gorgeous Lake Michigan shore at this beautifully, fully updated, five-bedroom home. Inside, you’ll find modern decor and an open, bright space, thanks to the many picture windows. Outside, you’ll find both an upstairs deck, perfect for morning coffee, and a downstairs patio with a fire pit, perfect for evening cocktails and s’mores. One bundle of firewood is included as well, so make sure to stock up on marshmallows.
The chef will love the open, well-equipped kitchen, featuring a full suite of stainless steel appliances and tons of counter space. Little helpers will love to perch at the kitchen island’s barstools, and the whole group can dine together at the adjacent table. After breakfast, make for the beach, just 0.2 mile away. The neighborhood private beach is accessible by stairs and tram, but please note that water levels and beach conditions change frequently. Some days you will find a large number of rocks while sometimes there is more sand than rocks. Depending on water levels or conditions, the stairs or tram to the beach may not be operational.
When you return, rinse off in the outdoor shower before heading inside to relax. Fire up the gas grill and keep dinner prep simple, or visit one of South Haven’s many restaurants, about five miles south. Get cozy in front of the gas fireplace and pick a favorite movie to stream on the mantel-mounted flatscreen TV. If you’ve got any work to catch up on, a dedicated office space/den upstairs and the free high-speed WiFi will make it a breeze. Two comfortable bedrooms await on the main level, with three more upstairs when you start getting sleepy. End the day on the balcony, toasting your good luck at booking the perfect Lake Michigan getaway.

We had a great time at Ruby's house. It was clean. There was lots of space to gather and have fun. The table fit all eight of us. The kitchen is very well-stocked and beautiful. The garage was also great with nice options of things to do. We would most definitely stay here again. The only thing that would have made it better was if we could have found access to the lake.
The house was beautiful, clean and fully equipped for gourmet cooking! We loved the, fire pit area, and the balconies. We enjoyed the fireplace in the living room and the high-tech TV. The beds were unbelievably comfortable and so were the pillows. I want to find out where they got those!
First time not booking a hotel, we loved it and the house was so clean! We had a great time and already looking to book again!
The house was very clean and the kitchen was adequately equipped with all we needed for our stay.
Ruby’s house was a perfect oasis close to Lake Michigan. You cannot beat that short walk to the beach.
We wouldn't stay again. The home is large and in a nice area but it's not as clean as the photos or as advertised. Our check in date was 10/1. I messaged on 9/24 to let you know that we had driven past the home and that the condition of the outside was not clean and not as pictured in the listing. The white house was covered in Mold and Mildew. This is the only house on this street that had this issue as we could tell. I was assured that it would be taken care of and the house would be pristine upon check-in, as we had family coming from out of state. We checked in on 10/1 and nothing had been done as promised. Once we were actually at the home, and not just driving past, we noticed even more issues such as entire outside walls being covered in spider webs, even the main entry door. Porches also covered in dirt, mildew and spiders. Outside table is rusty. Handrail going upstairs is loose and half way coming off the wall. Inside was mostly clean, with the exception of stains on some furnishings, bedding and the random orange bra my son found and pulled out of a couch cushion!! Our checkout was 10/7. We contacted Vacasa on 10/6 and we were told because we didn't complain earlier during the stay (we did before check in, the day before checkout and after checkout) that we would not be helped in any way. I should not have to have my stay with family we haven't seen in a while interrupted for the home to be cleaned, as it should have Already been done before check in. Very unhappy with the customer service. We don't expect perfection but these issues are excessive. The good is that the rooms are large, and there is enough room for a large group to gather. Plenty of dishes, although the pots and pans could use some updating. Wifi worked great. The upstairs master bath needs some attention in the shower, as some grout is missing, and there's some odd noises from the floors certain spots. The home is in a nice area and the sunsets are beautiful if you walk to the end of the road. Just not what we expected from the photos. Would look at other homes in the future.
