We loved the family friendly vibe at Anna's Cottage. They had a dog run for our pet. It was located across the river from Saugatuck's park and the weather was perfect! We hope to vacation here again! Thank you for a perfect weekend getaway!
Lovely rustic cottage. Fully stocked with everything you would need. We loved sitting on the porch and watching the boats go by. Oval Beach is just around the corner - gorgeous sunsets!
LOVED: > location (although hidden driveway requires astute attention to find, especially at night. Perhaps erect entry post with large block house numbers '444' to be more visible) > Front porch (though screens could use a serious cleaning) DIDN'T LOVE: > internal household heat (although warned in advance; plenty of fans to move air. Perhaps install a second floor industrial-strength A/C floor unit liked used in 1st floor bedroom) > 2nd bathroom down steep steps into heavy-mildewed basement > Absence of front drive/yard lighting
Very Clean and comfortable. Love the front porch. It’s an old cabin in the woods without A/C. Manage your expectations! We really enjoyed it and took advantage of the trails. Chain ferry is unreliable but we were able to use it. My son caught fish across the street. We loved Moosah coffee and the area hiking and amenities.
We made a quick trip to MI for a few days and this was a great location for all we wanted to do.
This house does not have ac or heat. The listing said it did. When we talked with management about it they offered a box fan because they already knew of the discrepancy. Very misleading and should have been updated if they were aware. The windows are broken. Bugs were inside the house and inside the sheets on beds. Lots of things were sticky from not being cleaned. The house smells awful from rotting wood covered in mold and mildew from leaking in the bathroom. If you have allergies, definitely avoid! It’s intolerable inside and windows must be open. Our small children did not thrive in those conditions. Also the bedrooms do not have doors upstairs. The railing upstairs over the staircase is 2 feet apart making it unsafe for children. It’s not safe to have children upstairs because you can’t even shut a door to keep them from the stairs. The second bathroom is actually located in the basement laundry room. That’s all that’s down there. So essentially for ease of use, there’s one bathroom. The good things are location, screened in porch to avoid heat and smells where you can watch boats on the river, and home history found in photographs and decor.
