Afterglow

We stayed at Afterglow for NYE and ushered the year in from the hot tub on the property. The home is spotless and well-positioned between South Haven and Saugatuck. The little touches really make the home, like the espresso machine, record player, and heated toilet seats. We would absolutely stay again.

We booked this rental expecting a relaxing Thanksgiving stay, but unfortunately, the experience was far from that. Shortly after arriving, the power went out and never came back on. This made it impossible to stay at the property—no lights, no heat, no way to flush the toilet, no way to cook or charge devices. We had to leave less than 24 hours after arriving. The rental company did find us another place to stay with far fewer amenities. Then, just two short hours after arriving at the new location—the power went out there as well. Again, no lights, no heat, no way to flush the toilet, no way to cook or charge devices. After spending one very cold night, we left on Thanksgiving day—two full days early. What made things worse was the rental company’s response. Despite the situation being completely out of our control, they refused to issue a refund for the two days. Their lack of accountability and customer care was extremely frustrating. I would strongly recommend thinking twice before booking with this company. If something goes wrong, don’t expect them to make it right.

We really like the area and the home. We had everything we needed at the rental and enjoyed our stay. It was nice to be able to walk to the beach whenever.

Location. Private beach. Sunsets. Hot tub. Multiple fireplaces. High tech toilets. Record player. Upper deck. Espresso machine. Proximity to wineries and cider. I’ll be back.

Loved how clean, comfortable, and spacious the house was.

We really enjoyed our stay. The cabin was clean and the perfect set up for our getaway mini vacation.
