Overview
Welcome to Leisure Lodge - a four-season getaway full of fun and adventure. In an excellent locale, your retreat is tucked away in a pine forest with 5 acres of woods to hike and explore. (The entire south side of the forest borders state hunting land, too!) Crystal Mountain is also minutes away, and the Betsie River is just down the road.
At home, find plenty of space to spend time together. A welcoming open floor plan seamlessly connects the living room and family room, so you’ll never feel separated from what’s happening with everyone. A cabinet of board games and movies invites memorable nights at home - complete with a cozy fireplace. In the well-equipped kitchen, a full suite of stainless steel appliances provides everything you’ll need to prepare delicious meals.
Outside, a grill and alfresco dining set are perfect for throwing a barbecue - break out the provided yard games while dinner sizzles on the grill. As evening falls, gather around the firepit and swap stories under the stars.

I think this was my 7th or 8th time staying at Leisure Lodge in Thompsonville, MI. It's a great place to gather with family or friends, for quality get togethers. With 5 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, a large kitchen with everything you need for cooking and baking (which really helps to cut down on eating out), a living room for quiet conversation and puzzle time, family room and washer and dryer to keep up on the dirty clothes. My grandkids really enjoy cooking and baking new recipes with me, when we're up there. The outdoor space is great for the grandkids to play and explore. Very private setting. In the evening, we had a great time roasting marshmallows at the campfire and watching the meteor showers. During the day, we went to Frankford (there is a great beach there), did the Art Legacy hike at Crystal Mt. and shopped Traverse City. Can't wait to schedule another gathering in the future.
Wanted a quick weekend getaway up north and this house was perfect for it. Lots of space for 9 adults and great amenities (large fully stocked kitchen, grill, fire pit, TVs, etc). Central to lots of activities in the area. Very clean and updated house. Would stay again!
We went up to the Lodge for an early fall getaway. We've stayed at this residence before and loved how homey it felt to us. We love driving up to Traverse City, going out to eat, do some shopping and going to Altonen Orchards, to get the states BEST honey crisp apples. Even if it's raining, the owners have a nice assortment of games and movies to enjoy. Will definitely be back again.
The home is wonderful with it's 5 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, 2 living rooms and spacious kitchen. We were pleasantly surprised by the size. Our family of 6 played games provided, had a small fire out back and had an overall enjoyable time. We might consider it for next year
In addition to a great, open space for entertaining a crowd (inside and out), the home is very well appointed and neat as a pin. I can see this as a great place for all 4 seasons. My entire family was very impressed.
the location was great!
