Beautiful Golf Cottage!

Really enjoyed the amount of room in this house!! This cottage was only a 15-20 min drive from the wedding venue and restaurants in St. Joseph. If the weather was better, the outside seating area would have been quite enjoyable. Only small quirk, no childrens shows available to watch on satellite tv. The grandson's enjoyed watching the ground crews, golfer and squirrels.

Issues with Vacacasa: -I booked this through VRBO. Ended up not being able to communicate through VRBO at all. Forced to communicate through Vacasa app, which was the first layer of confusion. -Unable to get details about parking, electric car charger, and distance to clubhouse/additional parking ahead of time. Called and called and called. Waited 20+ min the first time and then was cut off. Tried texting to the number purported to be for that purpose. That person read to me what is posted about the house, which just says that (for a house that can sleep 16 people in 8 queen beds!--are we supposed to carpool in an 18 wheeler??) that there is only 1 parking space. Listing does not give you a sense of how far you have to walk, a little map about how to get to the golf club, etc. This person told me to use Google and indicated that the closest place they could find was "only" 4 miles away. Called back again a few days later and waited for 30+ min for someone to answer. Never could get someone to give me any information about the parking, much less whether there was anywhere to charge an electric vehicle. -Check out time 11:00 posted in the house but Vacasa insisted it is 10:00. -TV with no instructions. Called Vacasa. Told someone would come the next morning to fix. Waited all morning. Heard nothing. Finally left and texted about waiting. Sent someone that afternoon to replace TV, which was appreciated. Repair person texted instructions for use of TV. Vacasa never followed up. -WiFi instructions--delivered in the email with check-in instructions--were incorrect from Vacasa. Called Vacasa. They said we were "doing it wrong" and read the instructions to us. It was laughable at this point, but also SO SO frustrating. Finally, we found that there were written instructions from the owners that did work, but it took several tries to figure out which network to be on to actually use the wifi throughout the house. -Broken window, which they said had "just" happened before we got there, but they declined to tell us. Issues with the house: -The address leads you to a large barn-like storage shed, not to the house. The golf course where the house is located does not have any signs about how to actually get to the house. Had to go to the clubhouse and get instructions. Would be so helpful to know ahead of time that you have to drive on the golf cart lanes to get to the house. -spider webs and dead bugs all over house and in bathrooms. Truly disgusting. No vacuum cleaner that we could find to clean up the dead insects. Paper products too precious and scarce to waste on cleaning dead bugs, so instead we used our shoes to scrape them into piles in areas where we would not be walking. -one roll of paper towels for a 3 day/2 night stay -no napkins so paper towels didn't last long -salt but no pepper for cooking -most bathrooms had 1 roll of toilet paper and no tissues -empty conditioner in showers -gas grill advertised but no gas so we couldn't use the grill
