Great location ( Glen Arbor). Good price reflects not on Lake and somewhat dated
This unit is well furnished and located in a quiet part of Homestead. Unfortunately, there were mice in the kitchen that left droppings all over the counters and got into our food. After the first night when this happened, we had to store everything in the fridge. It was a bit disappointing that the cleaning staff hadn’t noticed the mouse droppings under the sink prior to our check in (there were lots). Vacasa did send someone to set traps, which was effective. Dead mice didn’t add much to our vacation experience, however. I understand this is a wooded area so mice can get in, but given the rates Vacasa is charging these days I expected a better experience.
27 Wilderness is prettily located on The Crystal River for a lovely view from the large rear patio door or deck. A short walk away is a wonderful sandy beach. The home has a sleeping loft with bath, the lower level has a bunk bed room near the main bath. The small kitchen is nicely equipped for limited cooking. Convenient to Sleeping Bear Dunes Nation Lake Shore and all it's amenities, the pretty town of Glen Arbor is just a mile and a half away. The home hasn't any AC, but the provided fans kept us comfortable. Would return.
We had a great time here with our two kids and their grandparents. The carpeting seemed brand new as did the bunk beds in the first floor bed room. We loved being right on the river and being a very short walk from the beach as well. Great location to everything downtown as well. Would definitely stay again.
