This is a side-door entrance BASEMENT, NOT a walk-out level “lower level” duplex with the expansive deck that overlooks the lake as the description and photos would lead you to believe. NONE of the decks, porches, nor balconies are intended for use with this rental. Also, this unit does NOT have central air or forced air for heat. There are installed window units with windows that cannot be closed due to the glass being cut to fit the vent for the unit. This is an unsafe property for children (the space heaters provided didn’t only not work, but if they did they were the “baseboard” style electric heaters with exposed heating elements that would burn a young child’s hand if they crawled over and touched it. We were there for less than 3 hours, and Vacasa refused to relocate or refund us. We paid out of pocket for an alternate place to stay, and are still working to get our money back from this misleading booking. Save your time and money. Book elsewhere. The Jacobia house not far from this location is much more worth your while.

I cannot say enough about the breathtaking views in almost every room of the home. This house has most all of the original doors and hardware, beautifully layed wooden floors and stairs, ornate stair rail , original crown molding , glass doors between dining room and sitting room..as well as a chandelier in every public area throughout the home!!! This house is five star! I really want to thank Gary and friends for the most unique experiences and their gracious generosity in sharing this with us!
