Grab a book, snuggle up on the sofa with your favorite blanket, and get lost in it. The views from this VRBO were incredible. Spacious and friendly for our stay. I would have loved to see more cleanliness and effort put into the maintenance of the place. We loved the Grateful Dead artwork and think the owners are probably really cool. There is limited to no lighting except lamps in the bedrooms or bathrooms. The master bathroom was tiny. You can’t open the shower without the door being shut. The lighting is very dark and I had to get out during my shower to return the extra light on. The cleanliness was not the standard we hoped for and spent 15 -20 minutes cleaning walls and cobwebs when we got there. We loved the view and location but would maybe choose a different VRBO within the homestead that might be cleaner and have more lighting!

This newly remodeled condo is comfortable and the furnishings and decor is a higher quality than you would usually find in an Up North rental. The location is beautiful. We recommend this property and plan to return.

The Homestead is a great place to stay when in Glen Arbor but this was condo was disappointing. We traveled with 2 small children and I didn’t allow the baby to crawl on the floor bc it was not clean. Dust, spider webs and bugs everywhere. Very poor lighting throughout but could still see the cursory attempt at cleaning. I have never seen a shag rug in living room in a rental - gross! Very hot and humid without AC but the fans provided were not super helpful to cool down the unit. Furniture in living room was worn and dirty looking - had to use sheet to cover it up so we felt comfortable sitting. Twin beds were squeaky and shifted with any movement. At this cost, it should be cleaner and better furnished. Walk to beach was not too bad and the view was great. Larger room with queen bed was nice. I don’t usually leave reviews so I’m disappointed I had to do this!
