Eagle's Nest

The Eagle's Nest is only about 10 miles from downtown Burnet but feels like it is a world away from civilization. We must tell you, the last 1/4 mile of road to the home is an unpaved, uphill climb to reach this gorgeous hilltop location. We think you will agree that the panacea of Texas hill country beauty that unveils before your elevated perch is well worth the climb.

Start your mornings with coffee on the patio as the sun shines her first glint of light on Lake Buchanan below you. In the evening, unwind around the fire table or soak in the private hot tub under the stars. Fire up the gas grill for a laid-back dinner with friends or family while soaking in the sweeping lake vistas.

The warm, inviting living room is comfortable and open to the kitchen and dining areas. Start a fire (no wood please) or catch a movie on the big screen television on those rainy days. The kitchen is well stocked with a coffee maker, blender, butcher block and all of the kitchen amenities one could use to make a nice dinner for four.

Both bedrooms are adorned with comfortable, clean queen sized beds and also include ample closet and storage space. The bathroom has a new, modern look and feel and is always sparkling clean upon arrival.

But, the real draw for this home is the outdoors. Cross-country biking enthusiasts and adventure lovers alike will appreciate being just a 5-minute drive from Spider Mountain Bike Park, home to the only year-round chairlift-served mountain biking park in the U.S.—a unique destination for thrill-seekers of all levels. We can arrange for grocery delivery (please notify us 24-hours in advance to ensure we meet your needs) or via our Enso Connect Boarding Pass, we can offer other concierge services such as wine tours or onsite chef!

Whether you're here for lake lounging, mountain biking, or simply taking in the scenery, this vacation rental is your base for a memorable Texas Hill Country experience.

Due to the remote setting, a (rental) car with all-wheel drive is best but certainly not required. What else can we tell you about our Eagle's Nest?

Important details for your upcoming stay:

1. Check-in instructions, house rules, and property addresses will be provided via your Boarding Pass with a unique door code to your stay. This code will only activate the day of check-in and will deactivate midday on the day of departure.

2. Not all homes have cable; consider setting up a streaming account in advance.

3. We provide 24/7 assistance with the first layer of after-hours support provided via a combination of AI bots for FAQs & live humans 24x7 for emergencies and non-FAQs.

4. WiFi is available, but uninterrupted service is not guaranteed. No refunds or rate adjustments will be made for intermittent wifi issues.

5. A $500 fine will be imposed for any evidence of smoking, littering, vomit residue, or party glitter.

6. Set the A/C no lower than 72 degrees to prevent freezing and system issues; no refunds for low-temperature-related A/C problems.

7. We will provide a supply of sundries, including towels, dish soap, sponge, paper towels, toilet paper, bath soap, shampoo, conditioner, and hand lotion.

8. Pets are allowed in this pet-friendly unit, but we do charge $99 per pet (up to two dogs) for the entirety of the stay.

9. Bugs are common in the Texas Hill Country; pest control is in place on a regular basis, but some insects are inevitable. Please understand this is the outdoors. We are the visitors.

10. In Texas, there are periods of time without significant rainfall causing the county to place a ban on burning. Please check the current burn ban status, before lighting any fires, even for propane based fire pits.

✅ This property does not charge a damage fee. Instead, built into your nightly rate is a small accidental damage fee that helps you to be assured that if something accidentally breaks, you just snap a pic and send to us via the boarding pass. We repair or replace and get reimbursed by the the insurer. Who needs to worry? You are on vacation!
