This property was the perfect halfway point for a meetup with our best friends! The layout is incredibly family-friendly; the game room was a lifesaver and kept the kids entertained for hours. While the kayaks and hot tub really pushed the experience over the top, the house could use some minor 'base-level' maintenance (like fixing a few air vents) to sharpen the aesthetic. Overall, it’s an excellent choice for anyone seeking a relaxing, low-key 'stay-at-the-house' vacation
Future renters beware... You are not allowed to use either of the indoor fireplaces per the instructions left IN the fireplaces. It doesn't say this online. The property is nice overall and there are plenty of beds and games. The atmosphere is nice and relaxing. However, there is only heat on the main floor and loft. You have to use electric heaters in the basement but then the circuit breakers trip if you have them on while playing on the pinball machine. If you are looking for great food in the area, Vito's is a MUST! The pizza isn't great but the pastas are phenomenal.
Overall, we had a fun and relaxing stay. The house is very spacious - the kids loved the game room and the loft, there's plenty of comfortable seating in the living room and rec room, and the wall of windows looking out on the lake provided a lovely view. The cleaning crew had done an excellent job, but some minor maintenance issues require attention (e.g., dead light bulbs, loose outlet covers, a broken floor vent, a broken chair). We were disappointed that guests were not permitted to use the fireplaces, as we were there in December & January and had filtered our VRBO search for houses with a fireplace. That said, we appreciated all the wood for the outdoor fire pit and did make use of that. The hot tub was terrific, but there were no hot tub towels, only a bath towel on each bed, so bring your own.
Such a great place to visit to get away from it all. Plenty of rooms for a large or small family. Lots of things provided to do to keep entertained when you are here. Fire pit was so nice and relaxing. Kids played ping pong and basketball. The hot tub was a nice way to end the day. We even saw some squirrels and a deer. It is definitely a good place to get away and reset!
This home was great for a large family gathering. There are lots of indoor and outdoor activites for the kids, tetherball, basketball, corn hole, ping pong and video games. We had a great weekend. Thank you.
We love this cozy yet spacious lakeside cabin! 10/10 would highly recommend!
