LaWi Lakehouse

Pictures are exactly as described and the homeowners have pride in ownership which was very evident. We loved the high ceilings, small attention to details like warm throws, extra tissue and trash bags. The house is very spacious and clean. During our trip it was not as quiet and peaceful as we had hoped because they were building a new home next to this one so there was banging and electric saws going all day everyday; additionally someone was building a dock across the lake. This was not the homeowners fault, but the house next door probably won't be finished until after the first of the year. Additionally, we had folks show up unannounced which was concerning. Unsure where the communication breakdown was but we were told the homeowners told them no one was at the house when we clearly had been there for the week. All guests should be informed if someone is coming by BEFORE they show up. This all occurred at the end of the week and I feel the need to mention it so this does not happen with future guests. For Vacasa, there were no sign in the yard, no lights on the house to see the address; it would have been helpful to have lights on in case guests arrive at night. The numbers on the house are outside the porch so you have to drive up to the door to see the address. We had to call to be sure we were at the right place before driving up to the house. The maintenance guy Bradley I think was amazing and helped up get in and ensure everything was great. Even with the areas mentioned for improvement, its a great house and we would come again. Our first time here. We met up with my son who just got back from his Navy deployment. It was a perfect halfway point from Norfolk and Cincinnati. We rented a pontoon boat from Marina 66 and tried out a couple local restaurants - Napoli on the Lake and Drifters.

Loved everything about this beautiful home. The views and layout were perfect for our group of eight.

Oh boy, where to start of this review. The house in it self is new, Modern and nice.. Keep that in mind since some furniture may be lacking etc. the dock in the pictures is not on the property but a 5 min walk away. However we got transferred to this house since the one we originally booked had some damages due to a storm. I had talked with Vacasa customer service before booking the original one that we would bring a service dog which was all good since service dogs are permitted by law. When we arrived at the new house in a matter of 5 minutes we get a text from customer service saying that the owners have looked at us in the cameras and that it’s not a pet friendly house. I informed them that it’s a service dog and that was ok. However this kinda set the tone for the rest of our stay since there is cameras around the house and knowing that the owner is sitting watching you kinda makes you feel uncomfortable. So we didn’t really spend any time outdoors because of this which is a shame. Other than this the local Vacasa office does not want your business, I asked if it was possible to do a early check in and for two days they said they would check with the local office but they never got back to us and I had to chase them but never got an answer. House is new and nice but the rest really brings down the overall experience will never deal with Vacasa again.

We were in town for a wedding and this was a great place to stay! Everything was as described. It was very peaceful and tranquil as the area surrounding is only beginning to be developed. Would recommend

Our family enjoyed staying at this home for an extended weekend. We utilized the beautiful porch and numerous fireplaces. Our teens enjoyed the game room and spacious outdoor area. During our stay we hiked a local trail, played disc golf at a local park, visited a few coffee shops, and enjoyed sharing many meals at this home. We would love to return in the summer to spend time on the lake.
