Lakeside Park

Nice place to stay for 6 but many things could be improved.

My family stayed at Lakeside Park between Christmas and New Year’s Day and it was a lovely, quiet escape. It was rainy a couple of the days and we were glad to have the air hockey table and downstairs area for the kids to play with legos and watch movies.  We also journeyed to Roanoke and enjoyed the transportation museum.  It was great to be close to Bridgewater and to stop at Harvest Moon for some ice cream from the Creamery.  We were grateful for the fireplace and the cozy blankets in the living room. We could have used an additional blanket for my family of five, but were happy to have the three. Plenty of space, a well equipped kitchen, and the linens made us comfortable inside and the access to the dock for fishing was great for the off season at the lake. The hot tub was the icing on the cake for a quick winter getaway.

Our family of four stayed in this cozy house over the Thanksgiving break! What a great place: house was clean, kitchen well stocked, plenty of outdoor seating to enjoy gorgeous views of the lake and the trees, fresh linens and extra towels - all these made our stay extra comfortable. Clean hot tub was definitely a cherry on top! The kids were excited about play station games/legos/books/kayaks and nature hikes. The neighborhood area was quiet and nice. Nearest grocery store only 9 min away. Vacasa (property management company) did an amazing job addressing a couple of inconveniences (e.g. power outage, clogged sink) very quickly. I’d definitely recommend this place!
