Location at lake was fantastic Plenty of beds & bunks. . . so limit of 8 not needed. Maybe 8 adults and 6-8 children Neighbors dogs run free and unleashed.
We had a great time. This house had plenty of room to spread out as a family and the kitchen was fully stocked. The area is in a quiet cove and the yard was great for the kids to play. My negative would be there is not enough wash cloths for the entire stay or at least for a few days use. When I called to request more I was told there is a washing machine there so we could wash them. This would have required us to wash and dry everyday. Each room had 2 bundles on the bed (bath towel, hand towel and wash cloth) and that was it. Also, if I could suggest maybe having a crib or some toys for kids to play with. It was advertised as children welcomed. Other than that I would recommend this place and probably would return.
This house was great for our family of 8 adults. It was clean and a great layout. Plenty of space to spread out, but also great spaces to gather. The sun porch was a favorite spot and we enjoyed having the kayaks and paddleboards to use. It's in a quiet cove, but easy access to main lake area. Would definitely come again!
The dock was our fav part. We brought a boat and enjoyed the home
The house was clean and had plenty of room for a large group. It was well equipped with many rooms to sleep in and couches for lounging and watching TV. There were also a lot of TVs in the home although you had to use streaming services. We typically cook a lot at the lake and the kitchen could have been better stocked with supplies like cutting boards, sharp knives, containers to store food in the fridge etc. The upstairs seemed to stay pretty hot. We lowered the temperature on the thermostat to 68 but the upstairs never was able to reach that temperature. The dock had plenty of space for all our guests. We enjoyed that it was partially covered and equipped with a ceiling fan those who wanted a break from the sun. There were a lot floats available for use as well as the kayaks and paddle boards. Use of the storage closet on the deck was a big help since we typically bring our on floats, wake boards etc. We were able to put things away quickly and secure them in the closet before storms came. The biggest issue we struggled with at the dock was the dock height off the lake. This could have somewhat been because the water level was a little lower than normal but the dock height was a little higher than the side of our pontoon. It made it very tricky for older folks in our group to get on the boat. Many of us would step up onto the front seat of the pontoon to climb out of the boat onto the deck. There were ladders on the side of the deck but for older folks they were tough to climb considering the rungs were very narrow. The walk from the house to the dock was sloped and very doable for all in the group. The location on the lake was just a short drive to Bridgewater Marina by boat and short drive to the famous Parkway Marina fireworks by car. While the cove is not marked as no wake, we did not experience much wake at all while floating by the dock. Overall, we had a great trip and 4th of July at the Yellow Fellow!
