Nice place!
This is an ++old++ lake cabin with an exceptional lake-side location. It was clean and beds were comfy-firm, plenty of quality bath towels. But...it's like stepping back into your grandparents place from 70-80's, in a shabby not chic-shabby way. Kitchen had plenty of supplies but they seem to have been sourced from Goodwill. The couch needs to go to the dump. The drive is steep and graveled with some trenching. I don't recommend arriving after dark if you have a sedan. It's OK to not have WiFi, but he had very limited data service and sometimes no service at all (ATT). That was a real draw back. The main bath was slow draining with a gross looking drain, so we opted to all use the shower. Heating worked fine, did not need AC. Sitting on the screened porch listening to the birds/frogs/crickets looking out over the cove was magical, and the trees changing color just gorgeous. I loved it, but would not stay here again or even recommend it. Like cabin-camping.
I loved the lake and cruising around on my pontoon boat.
Host was accurate about lack of amenities. But did not indicate we’d find a filthy microwave & 2 kitchen sinks that had no drains to catch garbage, nor that furniture was so old one wonders what might be infested. The quiet cove is lovely but ill-equipped to enjoy. It’s a run-down place in a beautiful setting
Comfortable and clean accommodations. Large rooms, with medium to firm beds, and plenty of extra linens. I only gave this location 4 stars because it's a bit dated and there is no WIFI. We were still able to connect to the internet, however. It is a peaceful setting with lots of wildlife.
