Sail Away

8 adults, 2 dogs, 4 nights, mid-August. Layout: Fantastic layout with private terraces overlooking the lake from every room. Peaceful, quiet location. Beautiful landscaping. Large, sunny main terrace with large table and outdoor furniture. Didn't use the grill, so can't comment on it. Home: Home is very well appointed. Found everything we needed and then some. Very well stocked kitchen with all the necessary equipment to prepare gourmet dinners. Table-seating for 8. Comfortable beds and furniture. Roomy bedrooms. Sufficient starter supplies for 8 adults/3 days. Fireplaces great for cooler months (too hot in August.) Entertainment: Many games and entertainment opportunities. Pool/ping-pong table combo seemed in good condition and full-size, though we didn't have time to try it out - too busy at the lake! Strong wifi. Hot-tub was large, clean and worked well. Dock: Easy, almost flat access from house to dock. Water toys (kayaks, paddleboards & canoe) were a BIG hit. Best dock we've ever had (have rented at lakes for 12 years). Well maintained, no wood splinters, good ladders, lots of outdoor furniture. Easy access and deep water for power boat. Water temperature mid-August was perfect. Pets: The almost enclosed beach area is fantastic for dogs (and would be perfect for young kids, if we had any.) Basement area can be closed off and is ideal to let dogs dry out before allowing them back in the house (main terrace also good for this using baby-gate at stair access). Minor suggestion (not worth a star deduction): sand beach had grass &weeds. It must be hard to maintain, but removing them would make it more enjoyable for humans, specially for families with kids.

This home was so much better than anticipated. Situated on a quiet side of the lake, our kids really enjoyed everything about the lake and the huge dock that we spent so much time on. The home is well laid out and plenty of space for everyone. The kitchen was wonderful and well stocked to cook pretty much everything. The title of the home is a little misleading about having the largest private beach on the lake, as the beach was not maintained at all and overgrown with weeds and grass, and the neighbors have a much larger & nicer beach. Otherwise a wonderful home and vacation spot!

We loved the lake views, large dock, quiet section of the lake inlet, comfy furniture and pretty, well appointed kitchen which contained everything we needed to cook and prepare meals.

We’ve rented twice through Vacasa and couldn’t be more pleased with our experiences. We have always received prompt and professional responses when we’ve had questions. The properties were just as described and we had a wonderful time with our family.

The sand beach entry not usable, significant mouse presence and we had to clean up the doorways besides the front door to avoid walking into big webs and bugs. We would love to rent this house again if these problems were solved.
