Location
We love location but the unit needs some TLC.
We feel like we hit the lottery on this unit, especially after learning it is a rare 1 bedroom unit, which is perfect for my husband and me. We enjoyed the balcony every day, just above the beach, where we could watch the sunrise and then view a beautiful sunset sky every evening. The kitchen was well stocked, with all the small appliances we needed to cook dinners and make cocktails. The bath towels and beach towels were good quality and much appreciated. We would jump at the chance to stay here again if it is available in the winter months.
The view from this condo was exceptional. Beautiful views of the sunrise, sunset and ocean. The couch was very nice. Wouldn't stay again unless the bed was changed. Very cheap and uncomfortable. The condo sits on a very nice property with great amenities like a fishing Puerto, pool facing the beach and ocean, shuffle board, pickleball and many others. Key Colony Beach is a very nice island and very safe to walk around. This condo needs some TLC and it would be very nice.
We spent two weeks at Casa Clara #105 in May 2024. We had a great time, some positive and negative comments below. ** The positives ** Fantastic location and view – the view from balcony over the Atlantic was superb The bedroom was great – good size, nice bed, loads of storage, nice to hear waves on the shore when going to sleep Kitchen and lounge were spacious The bathroom was fine ** The negatives ** We were given the wrong electronic key code to get into the property. Having travelled from the UK, to be on the phone for 40 minutes while Vacasa found a new code at the equivalent of 4am in the morning was not acceptable The door would never lock from the outside unless the electronic key unit was pushed back inwards, as the bolt on the lock did not line up with the door frame The dishwasher was unreliable. The only way to keep it operative was to keep resetting it at the electrical switch near the front door The dryer door was taped together and felt insecure In the lounge and especially the kitchen, virtually every cupboard and shelf was overflowing with clutter. There was virtually no room to store our groceries ** Bottom line ** Casa Clara #105 feels like someone’s home (which, we fully understand, it is). However, if you want it to be considered a credible vacation property it needs work. Primarily, amount of clutter - plates, cake stands, old crockery, grubby electrical applicates etc., - need to be removed. If these elements were rectified, we would be happy to stay here again and recommend more highly
This condo has a beautiful view. The balcony is right on the ocean. The inside of the condo is basically clean but very cluttered. There is way too much furniture, to the point that it is hard to move around. There is a need for general upkeep. The toilet rocks and doesn’t flush well. The garbage disposal doesn’t work. The bed is old, makes creaking noises and needs both the mattress and springs replaced. The kitchen is full of excessive “stuff” but lacks basic utensils and linens. I rented this unit based on the posted reviews but now know they were not for this unit.
