Nice place

Bob O2026-01-21

This condo has a good location and is walkable to the Taos base lodge. Unfortunately the unit has not been kept up. The first floor shower door was missing a panel, rendering the shower unusable, so my entire family had to use the one remaining shower. The code lock for the front door is broken. TV did not work when we arrived, we had to reset it to get it to work. We were given the wrong combination for the ski lockers were supposed to be able to use at the base lodge, and could not use those. No one responded to our request for the correct code in the three days we were there. Overall poor communication from Vascasa, who did not respond when I emailed with the issues below. I do not recommend this condo, and do not recommend booking with Vascasa.

We enjoyed our stay there. The location was great. The house was so bright and spacious.

First, this place has epic views overlooking the base of TSV and the ice rink, and it is gorgeous when it snows. Second, this place is a home that my New Mexican family feels really comfortable in. Kitchen is well provisioned, it has big dining table for family means and gatherings, good seating, and even had a kid/baby gate to keep my 9mo old from trying to crawl up the stairs. The touches and colors were all warm and inviting. Place was clean and we LOVED the new wood-stove insert which kept the condo warm all weekend long (it got down to -10F!). My family and I will 100% be looking to return to this condo soon! They even have provisions for an EV charger in the designated parking spot, which is a huge win for anyone else driving up from Santa Fe or ABQ with an EV!

What a magical experience to stay here! As promised the parking space was open for us right at the property. We all were so delighted the moment we walked in. The place was so nicely decorated, warm, cozy and clean with everything we needed for the stay for our larger group. There were plenty of towels and blankets to go around. The beds were comfy and there were plenty! There was even a loft in the master bedroom with two extra mattresses to spare. The master bedroom was gorgeous with amazing views of the mountains and towncenter. Our last night there, we had the perfect space to watch a movie with a fire going, although the smell is strong so we didn’t keep it on long. We all absolutely loved the place, and easy short beautiful walk to the towncenter with ski lifts. My suggestion is to bring some laundry detergent since they only give two loads worth, and some coffee creamer since they only give coffee and filters. The management was responsive to my questions. Everything was just magical for my family. What a surreal experience! And they didn’t lie about the views!

The condo is clean, spacious and comfortable. It is a short walk to the ski resort with ski lockers at the slope included with your rental. Kitchen was well equipped, furniture is cute and colorful and there is a wonderful wood burning fireplace. We didn’t need to use the loft but it is best for use by younger ( but not too young) . Property is a little old so heating is not central and some of the lamps are old with finicky switch but carpet and bathrooms were pretty fresh. All in all, we had a very good stay and recommend this to other families.
