Bavarian Chalet 4 is a great place to stay for skiing. It is close to lift 4, is well equipped, and comfortable. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Be aware that this chalet is at 9500 ft above sea level and if you are not used to the altitude, climbing 2 flights of stairs to the top primary bedroom will definitely get you winded. You also need 4 wheel drive. The road to this area is steep, is not paved, and is not at all smooth. As mentioned by other guests, there is no local support and any issues are only acknowledge by an AI assistant. The issues we reported were not show stoppers for us. The keypad door lock is separate from a deadbolt inside the main door such that if the keypad is used to lock the door from the outside, the people inside cannot get out through that door and if the inside deadbolt is used then the keypad will not unlock the door. This was a concern because it can be a safety issue. The floor is badly warped between the dishwasher and fridge. I did not expect an immediate repair, but were told that repairs would not be done until after the unit sold. The vent hood on the stove does not work. The fireplace did not work for us. Incorrect information was also given for the WiFi and ended up being a combination of what Vacasa gave us and what was on the router. All that said, the house was warm and comfortable. We had no issues with water. Realize also, that the place is currently rented for below the amount of the other chalets.
