Rating
The view from the deck and the hot tub were reason enough to rate this quaint place 5 stars. Location was spectacular with Gualala nearby and Mendocino only an hour and some change away. So rejuvenating!
The view from this property is absolutely incredible—truly 10/10 and the highlight of our stay. Unfortunately, there were serious safety and maintenance concerns that significantly impacted our experience. My husband fell through a weakened section of the deck next to the hot tub, which is a major safety hazard and could easily result in serious injury. This issue should be addressed immediately. Additionally, the bathroom and kitchen are in need of updates. The shower handle kept falling off when we turned it on and the outdoor barbecue was a challenge to use as we had to lift propane tank up onto something to make a connection. These areas would benefit from maintenance and upgrades to ensure guest comfort and usability. With repairs and improvements, this property has the potential to be a wonderful place to stay, but guests should be aware of these concerns.
The house overall was very nice and perfect for what we were looking for in this getaway.
The view is amazing.
This house is incredibly close to the sea, with white surf crashing down below, 10 yards or so from the deck. The hot tub is a good size and in excellent condition. Everything was clean. The dishware was a little sparse, but that was a minor drawback. There also was no privacy screen between the hot tub/deck and a nearby house, but as no one was staying there, we were not impacted. Some trees had obviously been removed and some planting/fencing needs to replace them. But what a gorgeous view, lovely property, comfortable furniture, and nicely appointed. We would return.
