Quiet and cozy. Has everything you need and very close to many hiking trails.
We loved everything, cabin in the woods was dreamy and quiet. We absolutely loved the pool. We will definitely recommend to anyone.
we discovered mouse droppings under the sink on the dish drainer and the following day there was mouse droppings in one of the glass drinking tumblers. there are several mouse repellant pouches on top of the food preparation counters. a mouse was seen in the bathroom whilst in there, and in the living room. we had to continually inspect all of the dishware and wash everything - dishes, countertops before use. it is not a sanitary situation and we twice contacted management without any satisfactory addressing of the situation. we were told to expect this as the cabin is in the woods. having rented numerous cabins at sea ranch, many in the woods, this is the only occasion to experience such an unhealthy and unsanitary situation. we requested a one night fees refund and have not heard from vacasa.
For a rental at this price, with an insane $300 cleaning fee - even for just a one person stay - I have to leave an honest review. Vacasa customer service helped make my issues right, and I’m grateful, but Vacasa as an entity and at the corporate level are surely thieves. Each of their employees I spoke with were excellent. The VRBO listing was either intentionally misleading or incorrect, saying there was laundry. There is no laundry. Vacasa staff helped me find a laundromat. There are critters in the cabin and there is no safe food storage provided, so I used the fridge. The pans are old and burnt, and the drip coffee maker takes literally (I timed it) 25 minutes to brew the smallest pot of coffee you have ever seen in your life. Well, there’s a reason to go to Two Fish! When I went to pull out a pan for breakfast, it was soaking wet and had food residue on it and there was no sponge provided. Vacasa provided an “amenities kit” which is just a sponge and soap. This is not a “glamping” cabin, or advertised as semi-outdoor, or rugged. This is priced as a luxury stay with a full kitchen and in that case a sponge is not an amenity. Let’s be real. The instructions in the booklet are incorrect. The TV remote doesn’t work, just the Roku, so you can’t connect a game system. The stove heater remote is also wonky and the instructions are incorrect. There’s a heater by the floor that is more reliable. Vacasa is like one of the only options in this area, I think? They are over charging, under delivering, and I’ll guess they’re underpaying their employees like every other thieving rental company. I stayed at a Vacasa rental with my family last year and it was SPOTLESS. This time, it was difficult to settle in, but ultimately I had a very nice stay and was helped by several staff members who righted the wrongs of my stay. The sleeping area is cool with the skylights, the hot tub was so nice, and I got a lot of reading done. I took the binoculars out to the cliffs many times to creep on the seals.
Loved this cute little walk in cabin in the woods. Beautiful first views of all the windows. Comfy chairs, well equipped kitchen, lovely skylights above the bed!
