Overview

A piece of Sea Ranch history awaits at this inviting, three-bedroom home, an architectural gem with views overlooking the coastal meadow and the wide Pacific Ocean. As one of the first homes built by the renowned Sea Ranch architect Joseph Esherick, Eurella has the added distinction of being the house where Esherick stayed while he was building the famed Hedgerow Houses. Beautifully set on one acre of land guarded by a cypress grove, Eurella is full of coastal light and comfort both inside and out. A wall of windows brings together the living and dining rooms, where you can place a log on the fire, curl up with a good book or a crossword on the plush sectional sofa, or gather around the table for a homemade meal or a board game with a view of the ocean and passing deer. The trail just off the deck leads directly to Black Point Beach and the oceanfront Bluff Trail, allowing you to spend your days whale- and seal-watching from the shore. Back at the house, you'll find respite from the ocean winds in the protected garden courtyard with a stately tree that shades the space and a private hot tub tucked away beneath a gazebo. Swap out your bathing suits for a warm pair of socks from the washer/dryer, begin dinner preparations using the kitchen's stainless steel appliances, and bring a glass of wine out to the back deck or the garden patio to marvel at the golden hour light. As the fog begins to roll in, you can spend the evening in three bedrooms - one with a king-size bed and a snug window seat, and two (a queen room and a room with two twin beds) with access to the outdoors. Golfers can also tee off at the Sea Ranch Golf Links, a oceanfront course only six miles north. Bring your pup along -- this home welcomes up to 2 dogs. SLEEPING ARRANGEMENTS Choose from 3 bedrooms, with twin bedss. Altogether, the home comfortably sleeps 6. PROPERTY AMENITIES -- 3 bedrooms, 2 bath -- Private hot tub -- Dog friendly (up to 2) COMMUNITY AMENITIES (at Sea Ranch recreation centers) -- Heated pools and saunas (at Del Mar, Moonraker, and Ohlson rec centers) -- Tennis and pickleball courts (at rec centers) -- Miles of coastal bluff trails

Trails lead from your door to the bluffs, beaches, and through the forest. Heated pools, tennis courts, a fitness center, and The Sea Ranch Lodge round out the amenities. Stock up in Gualala, just 10 minutes south, where you'll find grocery stores, restaurants, a hardware store, and gas. Bodega Bay is a beautiful drive for fresh seafood.

When you're not out hiking, beachcombing, or catching a glimpse of whale spouts on the horizon, you'll be a quick three-mile drive from the always wonderful Twofish Baking and eight miles south of the Surf Market, Trinks Cafe, and Four-Eyed Frog Books in downtown Gualala. Charles M. Schulz-Sonoma County Airport (STS) in Santa Rosa is the nearest airport, about 1.5 hours east. A car is essential for exploring the area.

Our family just came back from a spring break vacation spent at Eurella estate @ Sea Ranch. The house is very spacious and so well stocked with everything we needed for a five day stay. The view from the vista windows of the house and the porch is breathtaking. We also enjoyed the tranquil zen atmosphere of the courtyard once entering the house. What impressed us most and kept us eventful even without venturing outside was the plethora of books, ranging from national geography, to history of sea ranch, to flower and food from Japan, we had such a great time exploring a collection of books out of our normal curation. And the house is close to all 3 sea ranch rec centers. We went to Ohlson rec center for swimming two days in a row with passes provided with the rental house. We definitely are looking forward to another trip back to sea ranch, eurella, in soon future!

Beautiful accommodations, fabulous objects of art and travel to admire, great books, cool pottery, dishes, cookware. A lovely place to relax and rejuvenate away from city obligations. And the stars! Amazing skies. The walk to the ocean was a bit farther than we expected and the 'beach' was a cliff, but it was gorgeous. We will be back.

This was a lovely property in classic Sea Ranch architectural style. The house was well equipped and check in was easy. Wifi was also good for working which was handy as there is very little phone signal in the area. There are lots of lovely walks from the property which is just a couple of minutes from the coast and the Sea Ranch lodge. We did have a significant power cut during our stay and the well stocked fireplace certainly came in handy during.

My husband and I traveled up to Sea Ranch with two college friends and this was the perfect house for our 5 day stay. We enjoyed the sweeping ocean views [and amazing sunsets]. The kitchen is well equipped and we loved hanging out together in the great room, and sharing meals around the dining table. We loved the hot tub too. There are several beautiful spaces to have quiet time - a window nook, and several sheltered outdoor meditation spaces with beautiful trees and seating. A wonderful retreat with close access to BlackPoint Beach and the headlands trail.

Beautifully designed. Every inch. Don't tell anyone else how great it is because we'll never get a spot there again.

Eurella is a lovely home that has everything you need for a fun and relaxing stay at The Sea Ranch. Our group included two grandparents, two parents, two teenagers, and two dogs, and this house was a great fit for us. PROS: Pet Friendly: Adorable dog area with a basket of dog toys and bowls, plus a utility sink area where we kept all of our dog supplies. Comfortable Furniture: The couch and chair in the living room are perfect for a family, as is the dining room table. Location: Walking distance to Black Point Beach—my favorite! Kitchen: Fully stocked with everything you could possibly need and more. Patio: Lovely patio area with table and chairs for outdoor dining or relaxing while enjoying the view. Deck: Wooden deck chairs for taking in the expansive sea views and gorgeous sunsets. CONS: Location: The house sits directly on Highway 1 and isn't connected to the Sea Ranch road system. There's a grass path leading to the neighborhood roads, but it has many gopher holes and is very uneven, making it unsafe for my parents who are unsteady on their feet. We had to drive them into the neighborhood for walks and then pick them up. Maintenance: The seals on all the living room windows have failed, creating a foggy appearance that obscures the beautiful sea view. Several items are labeled "out of order" (most notably the vent hood over the stove). This older house needs some repairs and updates. Mattress: The bed in the front room was too soft for my husband's and my taste. Overall, we enjoyed our stay despite these minor drawbacks!
