In this secluded coastal town on the rugged Northern California Coast, you'll enjoy a quiet piece of property that's surrounded by wind-blown cypress and lush vegetation, backing up to a seasonal creek. The interior makes use of natural wood, including beamed ceilings, richly hued walls, and a staircase that was hand-crafted in the Craftsman style. When the sun is shining on the coast, you can walk to the bluff at Robinson Gulch, light the gas grill for an afternoon barbecue, or simply relax in the fresh air in the yard or on one of the two decks with seasonal views of the creek. And when the fog rolls in, you can retreat indoors to toss the provided beach towels in the washer/dryer, warm up by the gas fireplace, and watch a DVD or stream a favorite on the Smart TV. When it's time to turn in, you'll find one bedroom with a queen-size bed on the main level and another, loft-style room with a queen-size bed upstairs; both bedrooms have access to an outdoor deck. Such a unique, lovely home. Great art!
The house is conveniently located close to town and right off Highway 1, but there was minimal highway noise. It had everything we needed during our 2 night stay. Every nook and cranny is decorated with knick-knacks, sculptures and artwork which was too much for us, but is a matter of taste. It worked fine for our short stay and the price was great for a 2 bed/2 bath home
This is probably the nicest 'rental' home that weve stayed in. The warm wood tones inside makes for a relaxing, comfortable feel. You can tell this is a well lived in and loved place with lots of personality from the furniture to the decor. The layout was perfect for us and we loved how it was laid out design-wise. We all commented that it was a design we could live in. Its a really interesting property visually from the outside front, inside and from the multiple multi- level deck. I just wish we stayed longer and during summer to take advantage of lounging on the decks and enjoying the ocean view. We would love to come back and explore the area more - just to stay here again.
We really enjoyed our ocean getaway! Loved the artwork, the garden, and serenity.
