Overview
This home and the surrounding Sea Ranch community are both featured in the July 11th, 2019 issue of the New York Times. Experience the original utopian ideals of the Sea Ranch in a luxurious, modern interpretation at this brand-new home on the Sea Ranch Golf Links. Paying homage to the original barns of the Sea Ranch homestead, and constructed using redwood, steel, and concrete-fiberglass composite panels, this single-level home blends function and beauty, indoor and outdoor living, and tranquility and comfort in one of Northern California's most extraordinary landscapes. You'll return home from beachcombing to radiant floor heating, a flatscreen TV that disguises itself as an art hanging when not in use, plus a gas grill and Adirondack chairs to enjoy in the sheltered courtyard. A hot tub and a private master suite await relaxing evenings spent stargazing and listening to the ocean waves. In the mornings, open the shades to watch deer and giant blue heron take their morning walks on the neighboring golf course. This home is located on a quiet cul-de-sac at the north end of Sea Ranch, where it sits alongside the golf course's greens and fairways. You'll be just around the corner from the oceanfront Bluff Trail and Gualala Point Regional Park (a prime spot for seasonal whale watching), and only two miles north of the heated outdoor pool, saunas, and tennis courts at the Del Mar Recreation Center. This home is even outfitted with an electric vehicle charger, allowing you to enjoy downtown Gualala's markets, restaurants, and galleries (one mile north) with ease. KITCHEN & DINING Craft your favorite meals in the fully equipped kitchen, complete with dishwasher, making cleanup a breeze. With seating for your group, mealtimes become part of the experience. SLEEPING ARRANGEMENTS Spread out across two bedrooms—plus a Murphy bed in the living room when you need extra space. The detached master centers on a king bed for a quiet, restful night. Two additional queen beds include one in a private bedroom and one on a Murphy bed in the living room. Altogether, the home comfortably sleeps six PROPERTY AMENITIES -- 2-bedrooms (Master is detached), 2 bath, 1 Murphy bed in the living room -- Private hot tub -- EV charger COMMUNITY AMENITIES (at Sea Ranch recreation centers) -- Heated pools and saunas (at Del Mar, Moonraker, and Ohlson rec centers) -- Tennis and pickleball courts (at rec centers) -- Miles of coastal bluff trails. A Murphy bed is available in the living area but is not a private bedroom.
This is your private retreat for the duration of your stay -- full run of the house. The private hot tub is available around the clock -- no reservation needed. Driveway parking is available at the property. Detailed check-in instructions, including the door code, will be provided prior to your arrival. As a guest, you also have access to Sea Ranch community amenities including the pools, tennis courts, fitness center, and miles of trails. A recreation pass will be provided.
You'll be an easy drive from wonderful lunches at the Ranch Cafe (eight miles south), a scenic stroll from beautiful Walk On Beach (three miles south), and close to wine tastings and beer flights in the Anderson Valley. Trails lead from your door to the bluffs, beaches, and through the forest. Heated pools, tennis courts, a fitness center, and The Sea Ranch Lodge round out the amenities. Gualala is a quick 10-minute drive south for groceries, dining, and fuel. For a scenic outing, Jenner and Bodega Bay are further down Highway 1.
Plan for a 2.5-hour drive from San Francisco (Highway 101 to Highway 1). If flying, Santa Rosa's Charles M. Schulz-Sonoma County Airport (STS) is the closest option at about 90 minutes east. You'll want a car here -- the winding coastal roads are half the adventure.

Sea Ranch has three recreation centers with heated pools, saunas, and tennis courts. Sea Ranch is already magical - staying at Sky Fall adds another level of magic. The home is comfortable and beautiful, perfect aesthetic for enjoying the natural beauty of Sea Ranch.
Appreciated the well-designed home layout and overall aesthetic. Great pano views outside to the ocean. Heated cement floors were awesome and we LOVED the stainless hot tub! We plan on renting Skyfall on a regular basis. Thanks.
Enjoyed the house flow/windows - Sun
The architectural design and execution are superb.
The home is beautiful but suffers many of the typical rental agency pains. The knives are dull, the pots and pans are low quality, there was mold on the ceiling in the bedroom and the floor outlets had dozens of dead bugs in the cylinders. I flagged the bugs to the rental agency, but they never came to clean it up.
This house is really comfortable. Well appointed and close to trails and Gualala. We loved staying here. Though modern the house was warm and efficient. We cooked most of our meals at the house and kitchen was very complete.
