Dreamy island condo with balcony, shared pool, tennis, free WiFi & central AC

Save yourself the trouble and look elsewhere in Hilton Head. We’ve stayed at other condos within the Beach and Tennis resort which were nicer and better maintained. Pros: - We got unexpected early check-in with easy communication through text. - Location to beach and pool Cons: - Actual mold growing in one part of the condo ceiling - The whole place just felt dirty and in need of more than just wiping down surfaces - walls were dirty, the fridge was gross. - The door to the unit was extremely hard to open - after typing in a 10-digit code, we had to slam our bodies into it to get it to open. - The listing through VRBO stated there was a private washer and dryer, this is not the case. - Furniture was broken - there is one chest of drawers in the unit and one drawer was completely broken and unusable. Vacasa was quick to respond through text and phone calls but all they would offer is someone from their team coming to look at it with no time promised. We denied this because we’re on vacation and didn’t want to spend that time waiting on a different cleaner who certainly wouldn’t be fixing furniture or mold or the door immediately unless they were magic, so we opted to stay and see it through for the 5 days we booked for.

I love staying in this location and have a dozen times over the years. This particular condo has all amenities needed, but it seemed like the cleaning crew might have just walked through with a wet towel and gave most things a courtesy wipe down. When on vacation you don't want to start it by cleaning the toilet and doing dishes. After that though, things went smoothly.

Condo was not cleaned well. Floor was sticky and couch had stains on it. You could not sit on couch

I love the apartment. The main room was quite dark, causing me to sleep longer than I expected. It is very close to the beach, and there was ample parking available. The front desk staff was extremely friendly, polite, and very helpful.

The area

The apartment is great. There are pools and a beach right in front of it. It has two cool restaurants and a beach bar. Shops, other restaurants, etc. can be easily reached by car.
