Townhouse Ideally Located Close to Beach with Shared Pool, Free WiFi, AC, WD

This was our second year at this property, and we hope to be back. Well furnished, the kitchen was very well equipped. Very convenient to the pool and easy walk to the beach at Islanders Park Beach. The only criticism is the upstairs was quite warm for sleeping, so we had to turn the AC down in the evening so the kids were comfortable.

Property is close to beach and other amenities. Villa has dedicated parking in front of residence. Swimming pool is less than 100 feet away. Vacasa customer service is very responsive.

Good location to most things on that end of the island, easy walk to the beach. Pool area is small and if several famines or one large family are using pool it makes it less than desirable for say a couple with no kids.

Although wehad stayed at another Beckenham unit the prior year, this unit had much more comfortable furnishings and beds. The kitchen was surprisingly well-stocked with utensils and even a good selection of spices. The unit is very convenient to the pool and only about a 10 minutes walk to the beach. All in all a near-perfect place to stay for our family.

I plan to contact the owners personally to let them know of the issues we had. The upstairs was HOT upon arrival. We sent a text message right away and the HVAC technician came later that afternoon. Nothing he could do. The AC unit was in good working order, but apparently the duct work upstairs has separated and in need of total replacement. He recommended we keep the thermostat low so it would cool the upstairs at least for sleeping. Needless to say, we rented 4 different villas with ours being the main gathering place, so we froze each night. In addition, the villa was BEYOND FILTHY. I sent a picture to the Vacasa staff with no response. My feet were BLACK just from bringing in the kitchen items! The outdoor rug inside was filthy. Have a picture of it. In addition, the 2 upstairs had towels, but it took 5 days of texting and calling to get 2 sets of towels for the downstairs main bedroom! Lastly, upon arrival, all of the throw pillow for the sofa and chairs were piled upon one chair. On the 5th day, we finally received a call from a nice gentleman who made notes and sent towels. He wanted to send a portable AC for upstairs and did not even know about the towels at that point! Have used Vacasa for years, but not sure I will again. At the least, these villas need a new housecleaning service. See my reviews of 2 other villas we rented!
