Coastal charm villa with golf-course views of Robert Trent Golf Course

The location allowed for an easy use of the golf course, club house and a slight bit of a walk to the beach. Pleasant to sit and relax on the patio and view the golfers and wild life. We would definitely stay again.

I am writing to formally express my dissatisfaction regarding multiple issues encountered during my stay at 21 Haul Away, Unit #17. These problems have significantly impacted the safety, cleanliness, and overall livability of the unit. 1. Sliding Doors : The tracks were extremely dirty, making it difficult to open the doors. 2. Blood on Bed Skirt: Upon arrival, we discovered blood on the bed skirt, which was highly unsanitary. While it was replaced after we called, this should have never been an issue in the first place. 3. Improperly Sized Pillowcases: The pillowcases provided were too small for the bed pillows 4. Fresh Urine Stains on Bedroom Floor : A urine stain was found on the bedroom floor. After reporting this, a cleaning service was sent to address the issue. 5. Urine-Stained Blanket: A blanket in the closet had fresh urine stains, which I had to wash myself. 6. Non-Functioning Light Bulbs: Several bulbs were not working. While they were eventually replaced, this should have been checked before our arrival. 7. Laundry Room Deadbolt: The deadbolt on the laundry door (which was an exterior door to the outside)was not functioning. Maintenance attempted repairs but was unsuccessful. 8. Electrical Issues :Several outlets were covered with duct tape, and there were multiple extension cords used throughout the unit due to insufficient working outlets. Vacasa was unable to fix the issue. This presents a significant safety hazard. 9. Unreliable WiFi : The WiFi repeatedly went out, causing inconvenience throughout our stay. 10. Unannounced Water Shutoff : The water was unexpectedly turned off one afternoon without prior notice. When we contacted the manager, he had no explanation. 11. Cockroaches in the Bedroom: We encountered a large cockroach on the wall, which we reported to management. Later, at 4 a.m., my daughter woke up to a cockroach crawling on her face. This was unacceptable and prompted another immediate call to management. Despite numerous calls and messages, Bill from Vacasa management was largely unresponsive. Upon speaking to Bill he displayed a dismissive attitude and made no effort to resolve our concerns. We asked to be moved out of this unit he replied NO there are none available. We looked online and there were several available then confronted him on it and his response was “I don’t care I’m not moving you”. After repeated frustrations, we contacted the owners directly, who were appalled by the situation and had to personally intervene before we received any follow-up from Vacasa. So at our own expense we left the unit and rented somewhere else. We have been vacationing in Hilton Head for 30 years and have never encountered anything like this.The lack of urgency, accountability, and response from Vacasa regarding these serious health, safety, and pest control issues is completely unacceptable. As a paying guest, I expected a clean, safe, and habitable environment.

Great location, easy access to the beach, pet friendly, walkable.

This is a great place to stay when visiting Hilton Head. The home was very clean, plenty of furniture and spacious rooms. It's a relatively easy walk to the beach and the back patio offers a nice view of the action on hole #1 of the RTJ golf course.
