A unique and comfortable stay. Located in a secluded and very quiet area within walking distance to Harbor Town. Nicely furnished. The kitchen is a bit tight for any serious cooking, but sufficient for light meal preparation. Love the views from this "tree house"!
every item I had in the unit smelled strongly of mold/mildew when I got it home. rotten timbers on outdoor steps are trip hazard. unit was awkward, outdated and not comfortable. will not rent this unit again
Loved the atmosphere of the treehouse community. There was lots of wildlife and close to Harbor Town.
I feel I’m pretty picky in terms of cleanliness, and I felt that this home was pristine. Cozy set up and awesome deck space to relax. Loved seeing deer and wildlife daily. Easy check in and check out process.
Our stay at Sealoft 2055 was wonderful! The location in Harbour Town is amazing—so convenient to all the shops, restaurants, and entertainment, yet stepping onto quiet Deer Island felt like a peaceful retreat. Being able to take a short bike ride back from all the hustle and bustle was perfect. The loft itself was ideal for two adults and one child. The space is comfortable and well-maintained, though you can tell it has that charming 1970s vibe. It did have a bit of a musty smell at first, but we figured that was due to the moisture and humidity of the island. Otherwise, we loved the layout and appreciated the well-equipped kitchen. That said, it would have been helpful to receive a guide to local grocery stores—or even better, the option to arrange grocery delivery. While the kitchen was great for preparing meals, there aren't any good grocery stores in Harbour Town itself, so local recommendations or a delivery service would have made things easier. We also highly recommend renting bikes in advance and using the drop-off/pick-up service offered by one of the Sea Pines Plantation bike rental companies. That convenience made getting around a breeze. One thing that could be improved is clearer guidance on beach access. Our neighbors mentioned the Sea Pines Beach Club, but we weren’t sure if passes were required or what was included with our rental. The beaches and pools seemed fairly private and often crowded, so a quick “what’s available to renters” info sheet would be a great addition. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would happily return to Deer Island. It offers a peaceful escape tucked right next to all the Harbour Town action—just add grocery delivery and beach-access info, and it would be near perfect!
We loved our stay at the sea loft. This was our second time visiting Deer Island, and we were in a new mushroom house. We love the vibe and the peace and quiet. This one is in need of some kitchen and bath updating, but it is immaculately clean. Our stay was comfortable and we would book this rental again. Easy and friendly communication with vacasa. Highly recommend!
