Find yourself captivated by the beach waves of Edisto Island at this astonishing getaway! This home has been freshly repainted and includes new flooring, new lighting, new furniture and kitchen appliances, and even a new porch. The beach is only a short two-block walk from your humble abode. Spend the morning listening to the sound of the waves crashing onto the shore and splashing in the water. Come back home to wash up your sandy beachwear in your own private washer/dryer, and then sit outside to soak up the sun as you dry off and cook up a mouthwatering meal on your own gas grill. Visit the Kings Farm Market and pick up the island's famed Key Lime Pie. After a long day at the beach, come back to take advantage of the outdoor shower to easily spritz away the sand. Once you're all dry, head back inside and set up some board games and turn on the TV to stream some of your favorite shows. Enjoy the beautiful weather of the low country on the home's screened porch and enjoy all that this fine location has to offer. Things to Know Check-in time: 4:00 p.m. Check-out time: 10:00 a.m. All guests shall abide by The Good Neighbor Policy and shall not engage in illegal activity. Quiet hours are from 10:00 p.m. to 8:00 a.m. No smoking is permitted anywhere on the premises. Streaming services will require guest accounts to access.

Things to know: There is a $150 pet fee if you plan to bring a pet. Please let us know how many pets will be accompanying you so we can update your reservation accordingly. Maximum of 2 dogs. No cats allowed.

House was a bit run down, windows very dirty, baseboards, trim and floors dirty, lots of traffic in and out of resort right behind house. Water drainage in sinks poor, not a tidy place. But we still enjoyed our stay! Edisto is lovely. This is my 3rd visit to the island.

We stayed 4 nights at Barefoot Lizzy over spring break 2026. It worked well for our family of four and our dog. Each of our teenager daughters had their own room. The inside had been recently updated. So everything was clean and in good working condition. The location worked well for us too. It was an easy 2-1/2 block walk to the nearest beach entrance. So we were easily able to walk with our beach chairs and gear. The location is also very quiet and we enjoyed the peaceful setting on the screened in porch. Below the house is a seating area and gas grill. We did a couple of meals on the grill and it was in excellent condition. The master bedroom is a little tight and there isn’t much food storage space in the kitchen but for a long weekend, the place worked great for us. I would definitely rent this place again on a future visit to Edisto.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! Good updates, comfortable beds and furniture, modern appliances and kitchen. On a quiet cul-de-sac close to the beach. Only criticism: The kitchen could be better stocked with cooking utensils. We will be back!
