This house sits at the top of a hill in a psychotic HOA neighborhood. If you go here in the winter or spring, and there is snow, there is a 90% chance you will have issues getting out of the driveway, unless you have 4 wheel drive and chains on your car. We were unable to get the cars out of the driveway to leave due to how icy the road was. They don't maintain the conditons of the road and/or the driveway or designated parking area. We had 3 people in our family fall/slip on ice. It was terrifying and made the vacation extremely stressful. The HOA called on us twice during a 4 day stay, once because we walked across a trail that we didnt know was for cross country skiers and then becuase we tried to park our cars in a safer area to avoid more injury, they basically forced us to put our cars back onto ice. Overall, the conditions of the designated parking area and driveway were so terrible it greatly affected our trip. We take a ski trip every year and we have never experienced anything like this. The on site staff did not seem to care about the conditions or to help mitigate any of it, it was disappointing. The house would be great if it was maintained properly.
Perfect house for a large group of us to enjoy the amazing skiing of the Cottonwood Canyons!
The photos truly dont do this house justice. Huge living space, overly stocked kitchen, comfortable beds, luxurious hot tub, and stocked entertainment/game rooms made this a perfect stay for our large group of friends. The proximity to Brighton was ideal, only a 12 min walk, and you can actually access the property skiing from solbright trail and cutting through the side country, which we did once. Communication was frequent and clear from both the host Patricia and the home services folks Wesley and Molly Seybold. It is important to note that the road to access the house is quite steep and UNPLOWED. HOA requires applying chains to tires of the first car arrival and then discretion may be used whether snow tires alone or other are sufficient. I think it depends on your vehicle - My snow tires were sufficient on my CRV, my friend had no issues with all season tires on her 4 Runner, however my other friend had issues with all season tires on her subaru outback and needed to use chains. Make sure you are prepared with chains for at least the first vehicle. Overall this was the 6th year I’ve organized a ski trip with this group and this house was the best one we’ve rented. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
The chalet was perfect for group enjoyment (games, pool, ping pong, hot tub, theater, cooking and dining).
I fell in love with this house the minute I saw it and it did not disappoint. We felt like we were back in Switzerland staying here. The home fit our large extended family with plenty of room for everyone. The kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed to cook a full meal. It was located in a quiet neighborhood and had lots of privacy. It was also very close to many amazing hikes. We would happily come back and spend another vacation here.
