THINGS TO KNOW - BEAR COUNTRY: Black Bears are frequently encountered near our cabin and are fun to watch as they walk by or occasionally play in the meadow behind our unit. If you see a bear DO NOT APPROACH THEM. Move away cautiously, Mother bears with their cubs are the most dangerous so stay away from their cubs. - BE BEAR AWARE: Look out for them before you exit the cabin. They reside in the woods beyond the meadow. Do not leave food in your vehicle. Pick up all food eaten outdoors and on the deck. Do not leave food in plain site in the cabin when you are not around or sleeping. Do not leave coolers of any type in plain site of the windows of the cabin (recommend the laundry room or kitchen). At night or when away, close the curtains on the windows facing the meadow so bears can’t peek in to see items in the cabin. Always close the front and rear doors to the cabin to keep all wildlife out (Bears walk through open doors all the time). - Outdoor wood-burning fires and charcoal grills are prohibited per local ordinances. - Guests staying at a South Lake Tahoe rental must adhere to all City Ordinances. In addition to noise, trash disposal, and parking rules, maximum occupancy cannot be exceeded under any circumstance. Fines of up to $2000 will be imposed by The City of South Lake Tahoe, without warning, for any violations.

The cabin looked like something out of a movie, very cozy, well-decorated, and had almost everything we needed. Overall, we enjoyed our stay. That said, there were a few issues that took away from the experience. The biggest was the lack of fans. There was only one fan for a three-bedroom house during the summer, which made sleeping at night pretty uncomfortable. I reached out to the management company weeks before our trip to ask if fans were provided, but never received a response. Had they replied, I would have brought my own. We also arrived to find only one trash bag for a five-night stay, so we had to purchase additional trash bags ourselves. The communication between Avari and the “local management team” seemed nonexistent. It was frustrating trying to get answers before and during the stay. I actually feel bad for the homeowners, because the property itself is great and deserves better management. Aside from those issues, the cabin was exactly what we were looking for and we enjoyed our time there.
This place was an individual unit that had all its amenities.
Cozy, warm, comfortable cabin in the woods but in an awesome location, close to everything! Nice warm great looking ( so natural! ) gas fireplace and comfortable twin recliner chairs and couches. Love the two kings beds in the upstairs and the twin full beds in the downstairs. This is a perfect cabin for year round fun! 👍👍
This is a very lovely and spacious cabin for our snowboarding trip! We are 2 adults and 2 teenage boys. It felt like we were staying at a grandparents cozy cabin which was a very pleasant experience. We thoroughly enjoyed the living room and fireplace as well cooking at home one night. The location is superb and close to many restaurants and shopping. We got pizza and it was about 5 mins drive! We had everything we needed for our snowy getaway. A note that the parking spot is not directly at the front door (1-2 min walk) and we were fine with loading up our snow gear (teenage boys) but please plan accordingly. Thank you hosting us!! We would love for return for the next trip!
Favorite part was having the whole “back yard” full of snow for us. Kids were able to go back there and play in the snow whenever they wanted
