Spacious Tahoe Donner retreat with private hot tub - near trails, slopes & golf

Pros- house was easy to get to, quiet neighborhood, very large home with multiple living rooms. Cons- a little stained/dirty carpet, beds were subpar and deck is literally falling apart off the back which could cause a safety issue. Overall good, but not the nicest place we've stayed at given the price. Can easily accomodate 10+ people though.

The house was sparkling clean and had everything we needed! We loved the separate areas for the kids to make their own and the amount of space to spread out! We'd absolutely book this rental again and highly recommend.

We stayed at this house for a couple days before sending our kids off to sleepaway camp, and it was absolutely perfect for our group. The layout gave everyone enough room to spread out and relax without feeling on top of each other, and the common areas were great for gathering, cooking meals, and letting the kids play. The house was clean, well-equipped, and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Would definitely recommend it for groups or families traveling together. We’re already talking about coming back next year!

Vacasa knew that the dishwasher was broken when renting this place, recent reviews mentioned it. Sure, a fix was en route, but the appliance had been having issues for months, and the property was being rented regardless. It's a big house, and sleeps a lot of people. I don't want to spend my vacation doing a ton of dishes in a very expensive house, and Vacasa offered me an insulting amount of money refunded, would not allow me to cancel, shorten my stay, or anything else despite misrepresenting the property. I talked to a number of reps, ultimately being told that the homeowner expects to get paid, so as a guest understand that you have no recourse and Vacasa does not care about your experience or you as a customer. I won't rent from Vacasa again, and if you're considering doing so understand that this particular home owner will not keep the home in working order. The deck has some humorous repairs to fix a sagging rotting wood railing by nailing a 2x4 to the top of it. It's a shame because this is a nice big house, underneath, but who knows what you'll get. We got the aforementioned, dirty cabinets, and glue traps left out in the open various places in the house with no mention despite staying with a pet and kids who could have gotten into them with ease.
