We rented a condo in Truckee for 2 nights for a grand total of $1900. 6 days before a winter storm watch was posted which became a WS warning and 6 days out we knew we couldn't afford to be snowed in with a car that wouldn't be safe for us. There was no way to cancel, or any recourse, so the property just sat 100% vacant and we are out $1900. Total rip off. I talked to them almost a week out. There was nothing they could do they said. Just can't agree with that policy and won't be able to use Vacasa ever again. Think twice.
Love that there was a lot of space for a family before if you squished in another couple, you could maybe fit six
Beautiful, well maintained home in central Truckee. We went to Northstar to ski/snowboard and enjoyed some cozy family time by the fireplace in the evenings. Our family had a great time here for Christmas!
Loved the proximity of condo to downtown Truckee and snow park in Boreal . Very clean property and perfect for a family vacation !
Pros: Clean, good location, comfortable, has most necessities included. Cons: as of this review (08/02/25) there is construction behind this unit that starts promptly at 7am with hammers and saws being used throughout the day, it appears there is at least a couple months left before completion. There were also a few more minor issues that I have let the owner and rental company know about that should be addressed before the next person uses it.
Location worked well for our activities, but street noise was extremely loud, even at night. Beds were not very comfortable.
