We had a wonderful stay!
We're teaching our young boys to ski at Donner Downhill the last two seasons and have stayed at a lot of these units. This one was by far one of the best. The steps lead out to a yard that is raised about the street Snowpeak way. This area is perfect for a snow fort, snow man building etc. Kids played in that area a lot. The unit is well appointed, good views, no neighbor noise and warm. The kitchen has the basics you'll need to cook light meals but I wouldn't plan on a major dinner without bringing supplies. The dinning area is much larger than similar units in the complex with a full sized dinning table for 8. The living room is large enough and comfortable to fit the whole family for a movie. Easy <5 minute walking distance to Donner Downlhill lodge. Will book again.
This condo was a good size, and accommodated our family of 5 easily. That being said, it was very old, and there were a few challenges. The downstairs heaters did not work properly so we couldn’t utilize the downstairs area for several days as it was freezing. The water was not consistently hot in the showers. It was also not technically ski in, ski out but it was a short walk to the lodge.
Great place, good stay. Would recommend!
We had 4 people staying in this unit. While it's not the biggest condo, it is very well designed and spaced. The kitchen was well stocked with good cookwear (yay!) and there was plenty of room for everyone to sit and move around comfortably. The only negative is no deck or balcony to enjoy the views from.
Much larger than expected. And the location to ski downhill Donner couldn’t be better. We had a great stay.
