Great Place!
This small unit had everything we need. Easy walk through the woods to Northstar gondola and village. Full kitchen, which is great in a studio. Tub for taking hot bath for skiing aches and pains. We look forward to returning next year!
location is good and pretty walk-able (about 15 min door-to-door from home to lift) through a 3-flight staircase, short walk through woods area and through the parking lot. May not be ideal for family w/ smaller children/toddlers if they are looking for ski-in ski-out option, as this is do-able for I would say 8-year-old and above. Studio itself is small/cozy, good for if you are spending most of the time outdoor doing skiing and activities. Again, location, location, location, and that's why this is a good property to look for.
I loved the location for skiing, though we had to traverse through the snow (no cleared path) to get to Northstar's preferred parking lot for skiiers. I wish the owners would correct the listing because previous people mentioned that the studio contains a double bed and a queen pull-out sofa. Make note that the queen size pull-out is on the older side and two people on it inevitably roll to the middle of it due to the older sagging springs. I wish the owners would invest in more dishware, since the place has a large fridge and a full size stove, but only a few plates and a lot more bowls which made for mismatched table settings in a single day for my 3-person family. Walls are worn but kept us from hearing all but the neighbor's morning shower.
We had a great time. The facilities within the room had us feel at home. Thanks!
This studio is located on the second (middle) floor of the complex. There are no elevators so you will need to carry your things up to the condo. Studio is brightly lit and clean. Located 5-10 min walk away from the Village. Although you cannot ski to the Village (it is slightly uphill from the condo), you CAN ski back to the condo from the Village at the end of the day. We stayed here as a family of 4, and it's do-able, but cozy. Would probably be ideal for a couple. We used the sofa bed and it was more comfortable than expected. The queen bed is very comfortable. Looks like the kitchen was updated fairly recently. We wanted there to be more plates/bowls but you can manage this by washing dishes more frequently. We needed extra pillow cases and were able to send a text request and received a prompt reply. We then received the requested pillow cases next day as promised. This was a good spot and a clean condo, but I didn't look close enough when booking to realize that this was a studio condo - it was tighter quarters than we were expecting initially but it ended up working just fine for us.
