Modern lake-view hotel - all eight rooms - dog-friendly - near beach & golf

We loved having plenty of space for our large group. There were 8 bathrooms and a lot of beds to accommodate us. The proximity to the beach (2 minutes), grocery store (3 minutes), restaurants, hikes, etc. was fantastic. The furnishings were basic, nothing fancy. The WiFi was only good in the main room where the router was located. The kitchen was small and sparse. But it was wonderful for our family reunion. It ticked all the boxes we needed, and we didn’t have to worry about the kids breaking anything because there weren’t any fancy decorations or amenities to break. Haha. Our family would definitely rent it again if we return to Lake Tahoe.

The only benefit was that we were all able to be together in one location with no other persons around us. The property is not well maintained, with some mold in showers (we cleaned) and dusty dirt courtyard. The garbage dumpster was not emptied and we had 3 different bear visits that were very unnerving. A neighbor stopped to help pick up garbage off the street and said that because the Owner does not pay for adequate pickups that the bears come often

The good: great location, walk to beach, restaurants, coffee, ice cream. Real close to casinos. The bad: shampoo, etc dispensers in bathrooms were empty, most rooms had one roll of TP, there was one garbage bag provided for the entire property for a stay of two nights for all 8 rooms rented. The ugly: cockroaches were in a few rooms, the toilet of one wasn’t working when we checked in (the did show up and fix it promptly), several of us got superheated water in the shower- the water went from hot to 1000 degrees with no warning, a lot of light bulbs were out. The grounds were overgrown with weeds, crumbling hard scaped areas and just really shabby. Read the listing: no A/C, no drop coffee maker (Keurig type maker provided), very limited seating in the ‘common area’ which is a part of one of the units and not ‘common’ to anything.
