We stayed as a family of 4 with two young kids. The condo was extremely comfortable and we really enjoyed our four nights together. We cooked, watched movies, enjoyed seeing snow and wildlife from the back patio, and played games together. Everything was easy to figure out (where things were, switches, etc.) We'd definitely stay again.
I like the idea of Air B&B, Vrbo having competition like Vacasa but the bar is so much higher with the competition. Other properties I’ve stayed at provide coffee samples, laundry detergent, complementary water in the fridge and sometimes snacks for kids. Which is all very helpful when away from home. I did not experience that with my stay and was disappointed with the lack of care and maintenance to the property. Hope they can do better for the next guest.
Cleanliness, enough room for family, location close to lake.
There was a bed, that I tossed and turned in, and the heat is trapped in the rooms downstairs during the summer. Do not stay here unless you can sleep in hell. This property looks clean but is not. It has mold in the bathtub and the washer. The Vacasa agents did nothing to help with the any of reported issues. Issues stated at the beginning of the trip, and updated throughout the trip. Housecleaning was offered 2 hours before check out, I reported the mold the 1st day of our stay. The internet service was down the entire stay, and never connected. Customer service claimed it was a brown outage at the end of the day but none of the neighbors had internet issues. They have not provided any proof of the internet brown outages. I reported the internet being down the first day, and they did nothing mention any brown outages until the end of our stay. We paid for amenities we could not use, and they refuse to help with accommodations. This unit does not have an AC, but there is a thermostat that is set to 84 degrees during the summer. They do not care about your stay. The recreation center is a far walk, and they do not provide clear instructions. The Vacasa agent will state you need wrist bands for this property to access the rec center but it’s actually a key card.
Wonderful place in a great area, two bedrooms, two floors, patios on both, nice kitchen, a bbq pit, stove, fridge, microwave, gas oven, the works, for a great price. Honestly you can’t beat it, the only thing I saw that needed attention was the chairs on the bottom patio (a housekeeper could probably come by a keep them clean for the guest). Other than that the family love the place. It’s literally a home away from home
The location is great if you want to go to Northstar. A shuttle picks you up in the parking lot of the rental. The place itself is fine nothing wrong with it, just a bit run down. It could stand a top to bottom clean and handy persons attention. Clear some cobwebs and fix some light switches that don’t seem to do anything. The bed was comfortable and there are plenty of pillows. We didn’t cook anything but the kitchen looked stocked with tools to do so. The biggest bummer was the fact that they advertised a hot tub, sadly that is not 100% true. If you want to use a hot tub, you need to either drive or shuttle to the rec center AND pay $12 per person. We did not do that so can’t comment on the quality of this supposed hot tub. We were disappointed and therefore won’t stay there again. Plenty of other fish in the sea.
