The location for skiers is clearly the star of this clean and comfortable property. We LOVED being able to walk out our door and basically ski right down to the gondola and lift. And everything else was great too. There was plenty of bedding, generous starter supplies of amenities, comfortable furniture, and parking for two cars. Laundry is available closeby up some stairs, and it wasn't too crowded the day I went. The few less perfect things were a slow shower drain upon arrival (although Vacasa sent someone out to fix this within a day of request), a fridge that was not regulating perfectly (there was a note about this, so we knew to watch the thermometer inside, and all worked out), and the gas range did not have a ventilator, which I would have preferred. But we would for sure love to stay again during ski season.
For location x cleanliness x convenience 5 stars.
The place is fine. Nothing fancy or nice. Ski in ski out. All basic needs are there.
Cozy place for two in a great skiing location. The refrigerator is broken and ruined all of our food. Likely will be fixed but check before renting. Bring your own basic cooking spices and supplies.
We enjoyed our stay at this very clean, comfortable accommodation in the heart of Northstar’s village area.
I ski Northstar regularly and in the past, I have tried driving to the general parking lot (wasted time). I have tried renting in the outskirts of the village using the free shuttle (much better already) but you can't beat this location. It is at the bottom of the village Run and less than a minute walk from the gondolas. It will be hard going forward to rent any place else. I really enjoyed being able to get back to the flat to have lunch and even a resting nap before going back up the slopes. Parking was easy and passes were available. Vacasa was helpful answering a couple questions I had upon arrival. The kitchen and appliances worked as intended. My issues were with the bedding situation. The queen bed in the bedroom was extra extra firm (maybe it is ok for you) and I could not sleep in it. Nor could my daughter when we switched. As for the couch, it is super old and uncomfortable with a bar right in your back. I am short but had to sleep diagonally to avoid the bar hitting my back. You can't sleep two people in the couch, not even children. Place works for 2 or maybe 3 people, not 4 people. I did not find a locker to place our ski equipment so had to keep at the front door inside. 5 star for location and 3 star for beds.
