Unfortunately this condo has an active rodent problem. There is mouse poop inside the lower cabinets in the kitchen and along the baseboards of all rooms, including all three bedrooms. There is a mouse nest inside a drawer in the dining room. As an added bonus, there was a container of rodent poison sitting in the corner of the dining room, with what appeared to be a dead mouse inside it. The poison was right behind the cute bear sculpture, which of course attracts kids. Hantavirus is endemic to Tahoe and is transmitted via rodent feces and urine. I notified the management company, Vacasa, about the mouse poop, and this was the response: "We are sorry to hear that the cleanliness of the home is not admissible to your expectations. We want to express how much we appreciate and value your feedback.” I followed up with photos and was told the local team would get back to me. No one ever did. In addition to the health hazard from rodents, the corded window blinds throughout the condo are a strangulation hazard for children. They all have oddly long cords. Two rooms feature window seats which are nice perch areas for looking outside, but the cords on the blinds there are so long they puddle on the seats. This is a setup for a tragedy. In addition, and this is absolutely reckless disregard for safety, one of the twin beds is a few inches from the wall and the cords on the blinds next to it are so long that a child can literally lie in bed and play with the cords. That's exactly what my child did. There is a little metal cleat on the wall to secure the cords, but it’s within easy reach of a curious child. Even tucking the cord up above the top of the blinds doesn't keep it out of reach. My kid just stood on the bed and pulled the cord back down. The condo itself is a bit run down, with threadbare carpets, a moldy shower curtain, and a bathtub drain that won’t close to run a bath for a child. If these issues were addressed, this could be a nice property. The floor plan is really comfortable, the location is pretty good, and the kitchen is well supplied. The washer and dryer are excellent, very large and seem new. The bed linens and towels were clean. Vacasa supplies a starter kit of dishwashing supplies, and I appreciated having a fresh sponge and detergent. They also stock the bathrooms with shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. However, unless Vacasa and the property owner step up to handle the rodent problem, dangerous corded blinds, and deferred maintenance, I suggest looking elsewhere.

Great condo

Nice, clean, older unit in Northstar community. It was perfect for skiing. Loved the shuttle service. It was only a short walk to the stop and you could get a shuttle on demand at no cost. It made it so easy and fast to get to North Star. The kitchen was well stocked. There was lots of firewood for burning fires, which was nice. The closet in the entryway gave a great place to store our ski helmets and skis. The kitchen was well stocked. The living room furniture was comfortable.

Great little place but when showering be careful because if two are showering at the same time you could be hit with hot or cold water.

The TV did not work our entire stay. The help line was not helpful. The carpet was not vacuumed. There were no check out instructions.
