Rating
If you are looking for an affordable condo for a small group or family with easy shuttle access to the mountain this is perfect for your needs.
Good location, nice room arrangement, and generally a good place. However furniture is old (broken sofa when we were there and sag in the middle of the king bed). Some switches and outlets also need repairs. If these were fixed the place would be a 4 or 5 star rental.
This property is great for the location and overall, other than some bathroom cleanliness issues. Everywhere else of the property seemed clean and felt comfoetable, but not the full bathrooms. The full bathroom on the bottom floor smelled like urine, especially when running hot water for showers. I personally didn't go into that bathroom since the complaint wasn't make known until after the stay, but they definitely made it known that it was gross. Upstairs full bathroom had no issues other than the shower curtain had stains and mold. The shower curtain is an easy fix, probably just an oversight from the cleaning crew. I gave the property a 3 stars mainly for the interaction between myself and the property manager. Communication was broken from day one, Check-in info was sent ONLY to my phone via a random number, which was hard to track and trust, when it should be sent via email or on the app. The fridge broke and didn’t maintain temperature the night before Christmas Eve, not only the food bought and planned for a big holiday dinner was ruined, I was accused by the property manager for making up a lie to get out of the rental agreement when we decided to check out a day early and move to another location where our family can enjoy food kept at a safe temperature. I didn’t even ask for anything when I reached out to the property manager, I simply asked for check-out instructions early and made my disappointment known. The property manager managed to conclude that I was trying to scam him simply because he had been properly manager for a long time and have seen “people like me”. We honestly had a great time at the property even with unpleasant bathroom and shower, it all changed when I was treated with disrespect and rudeness as a renter. It was random and insulting to be labeled as a lier and a scammer wje in no such intent was presented. I hope this property can be managed by another manager as the property itself was lovely.
While this property is in a very prime location, close to the palisades, everline resort, truckee and Tahoe, it also has its down sides. The residence is 3 stories with bedrooms on the first and top floors. Do not recommend for people with limited mobility or elderly. The property has not been renovated and due to the age of some of the furniture and carpets the house didn’t feel as clean as it should have. Overall, it was fine for a quick trip but would not recommend for any long term lodging
The location of this condo is great, and it fit our group. However, I would say this is not for anyone older/elderly. There are about 2 flights of stairs to get from the parking lot up to the condo. And then there are 2 flights of stairs inside the condo. The couch is so low to the ground, you can barely get up and out of it. Kitchen was fully stocked! The stove and microwave are brand new. However the Dishwasher and fridge are not. The freezer does not work, everything melts inside and it was on the highest setting when we got there. The BBQ grill on the patio had a chain and padlock on it and nobody could tell us the code. So we could not BBQ any of the tri-tip we brought for dinner. The white carpet on the stairs and the bedrooms, was heavily stained, this place needs a serious deep cleaning done. Old dusty silk plants need to go! Hosh posh of stuff, just stuffed in closets. Needs to be cleaned and organized. The photos make this place look way nicer than it is. Its very dated, which is okay for Tahoe, but needs some major cleaning.
There was a mouse found in our bedroom during our last night, which was really jarring. Additionally, there weren’t enough towels, and when I contacted Vacasa, I was told that nothing could be done, which didn’t give me confidence that anything could be done about the mouse either.
