Great place to stay. We visited Tahoe City to hike the surrounding area. This was a perfect home base. The bed was amazing, large and comfortable.
Amenities were good. Cleanliness could improve. Location was good. Pleasant patio. Quiet.
When you it arrive there are signs to remove your shoes, however, the floors are visibly dirty and you can expect your feet to be black within minutes. This place is advertised as a 2 bathroom; please be aware it is NOT. It is a 1.5. The downstairs bathroom door is broken and you get stuck in there. There is NO ACCESSS AT ALL to the pools/hot tubs! Trying to contact the property management was a disaster (via chat and phone) - they continuously gave a generic message with no solution. The lake is NOT WALKING DISTANCE at all.
You cannot stay here until the owner makes serious health and safety improvements. Had amazing potential with location to the lake and amazing surroundings but at this time it shouldn’t pass codes. My 7 year old son was trapped in their downstairs bathroom for over 20 minutes because the door is broken, there is black mold on the ceiling of the shower, a hole in the bathroom door, the carpet is gross, the dishwasher was full of sitting water when we got there, carpet stained and couch smelled like cat pee. Too bad because price and location and bones of the place have good potential.
DO NOT RENT MANY PROBLEMS WITH THE PROPERTY
I loved my stay at this 2-bedroom cabin in an HOA. Customer service was excellent (when the BBQ wasn’t working, someone was sent to fix it within an hour). We had everything we needed inside the cabin and felt the check-in and check-out process was a breeze. The cabin is close to a small beach which was very convenient when we walked to the shore to see the fireworks on July 4th. My only complaint was one of the neighbors. They were more interested in taking pictures and selfies with a bear than helping my husband and me secure the trash and get rid of the bear. When confronted, the guy across from the cabin (our back door faced his front door) told me “go back inside woman.” He sucks. Other than that, great experience and would use Vacasa to book a cabin again.
