Cozy in the winter and blissfully cool all summer, this atmospheric, three-bedroom home in Tahoe City makes a wonderful base for adventure in the Sierras. This two-story home sits among tall evergreens, in a serene, quiet neighborhood one mile from the heart of Tahoe City. The house is enviably close to the banks of the Truckee River, Commons Beach, Tahoe State Recreation Area, and excellent dining and shopping. Spend your summer swimming, kayaking, and fishing, and the sparkling winter months skiing the world-class slopes of Homewood Mountain Resort and Squaw Valley. Begin each morning with a hot cup of coffee and a seat outside on the deck, where you can ease into the day amid the soft sounds of the woods. The deck is also a great spot for afternoon card games, appetizers, and alfresco meals prepared on the gas grill. Inside, exposed beams and natural wood paneling give the house a real sense of place. Prepare hearty meals in the well-equipped kitchen, and sit down to enjoy them at the breakfast bar, the bistro high-top, and the dining room table. After dinner, find a favorite movie to stream on TV. THINGS TO KNOW Streaming services are available with guests' own account credentials. The washer/dryer is shared with the ADU (accessory dwelling unit) above the garage, which is intermittently occupied.

We absolutely loved staying here! It was clean, nearby beaches, and really comfortable. Prepare to bring your own cooking gear as the stuff in the home is pretty lacking. Otherwise, excellent experience and we hope to come back!!

The house was not bad, I liked the number of beds in the very quiet area. But inside it leaves a lot to be desired, details that need repair, terrible cleaning and terrible communication.I don't think my family and I will rent there again.

We needed something very last minute for a large group so we booked this property. Location was great. The home was in disrepair. Windows were broken and taped up. Blinds were broken, towel bars broken and left on nightstands. Very bare bones kitchen utensils. WiFi did not work. Called customer service and they put in a “ticket” but did not receive a call back until we were checked out and on our way home. Cobwebs and bugs noted in all rooms. No screens on the windows. We stayed in July and it was warm so if you opened the windows all bugs came in. Outdoor dining table was completely filthy and we had to clean ourselves to sit out there. Evening after checkout received a very unprofessional message from the manager about not locking the keys in the lockbox and leaving him in a bind. When in fact he messed up and the current guest was at fault.

Lots of room for three families, great location too for skiing and grocery stores particularly New moon health food store. Also close to Save mart for charging my EV car. Great hosts and any info we needed was provided to make it a smooth stay. Will definitely stay again. Thank you
