Amazing home, layout, sunrises! Nothing but great things to say. Easy access, great neighborhood. Very clean and comfortable! We will be back!!
The house is very nice, 30 minutes from South Lake Tahoe. The bedrooms are very clean and spacious. The kitchen has everything you need to cook. The living room is very nice for spending time with family, and there are beautiful places nearby like Emerald View. Highly recommended. We went with my family and children.
There were several issues with the house that require immediate attention, particularly from a safety and cleanliness standpoint: 1. Kitchen safety and expired items: There were popcorn and hot chocolate packets stored in the kitchen cabinets. My kids opened the hot chocolate pouches and we discovered they were expired (from 2023). After checking further, most items in the kitchen appeared to be expired by 2–3 years. This is unsafe, especially with children present. The kitchen cabinets should be fully cleared, cleaned, and restocked immediately. 2. Downstairs child safety: The downstairs area is a great space and naturally where children spend most of their time. However, the sliding doors have exposed hardware that is easily within reach. From a child-safety standpoint, this should be properly secured and made inaccessible. 3. Downstairs exterior door: The downstairs door that opens to the outside was jammed and could not be locked. This is a serious safety issue and should be repaired without delay. 4. Staircase hazard: The stairs leading downstairs are very steep, and the step width is narrower than expected. We slipped multiple times; fortunately, there were no serious injuries. At a minimum, there should be a clear warning sign, and the staircase safety should be reviewed. The home has good potential, but these issues, particularly those involving child and guest safety should be addressed before future guests stay. I strongly encourage the host to review and resolve these items promptly.
