Enchanting alpine retreat near skiing with games & fireplace - dog-friendly

Loved how comfy the beds and couches were. This house is built to entertain and enjoy life: views of the forest and valley, hot tub, saune, big living area, game room… and very close to Northstar! We will book it again.

It was a great house for the family- ski all day (easy to use the shuttle service) and then have the family together at night! I would the immense if you have a large party. We loved that everyone had their own room/space!

Cabin notes Due to a visible electrical fault and scorched wall a main breaker was tripped before we arrived. This electrical issue could have caused a fire in addition to the lack of gfi sockets near sinks. Multiple cabin electrical issues are unsafe. Additional problems of most concern and disappointment at the property. Lacking:hand mixer, Champagne glasses, colander. Only two frying pans and one large cooking pot - more needed. low quality and minimal amount of paper products supplied (toilet paper, tissues, paper towels ) fire wood not supplied and not in on line description. Unsafe conditions: Outside entry stairway lights do not work. Stairwell dangerous and cannot be used at night. Overhead kitchen task lights: bulb missing, one bulb is a heat lamp bulb -incorrect bulb wattage. Master bath double sink vanity area (right side): electric fault and scorched wall visible. No gfi sockets in bathroom near sinks. Missing electric socket covers and numerous wires coming out of wall downstairs. Main breaker was tripped before we checked in. Main breaker wall has hole in it. Multiple lights inoperable inside cabin either because bulbs are missing or burned out. Dryer vent in laundry room vents into house. Master bathroom pocket door broken. It is inoperable and was left in open position. Master bathroom toilet leaks when flushed. Sink faucet fixture in master bath commode area is Loose and wobbles. Master bath toilet seat is loose. Hunter Douglas living room power window shades need batteries replaced. A ladder would be necessary to replace batteries. If there was a pre rental walk through check by Vacasa, they missed many safety concerns and obvious issues. Such as, open lighter fluid bottle left next to fireplace. Cleaning of cabin was minimal. Vacasa site support is ineffective. It is unreasonable to ask renters for access to property during Rental period to inspect/repair obvious problems that should have been obvious and addressed prior to our stay. We are 5 adults, 3 children and a dog staying at the house during Christmas week. Maintenance at this time is inconvenient to say the least. The location of the cabin , upstairs view, and comfortable beds and furnishings helped us to make the best of the situation. Nevertheless, we do not feel the rental conditions justify how much we paid.

Common areas and bedrooms were great for accommodating all of our guests. Needs a handyman to go through and make sure everything is functioning and safe for visitors. A manual giving instructions or locations of features would be beneficial to future guests. Overall, if you have a big crowd and need somewhere that accommodates everyone, this was a good location and house.
