I booked this house because it said dog friendly and had a fenced yard for dogs and kids to play in. Well the people who were bringing dogs ended up not coming. It was too late to change or cancel so we had to just keep our booking. From the start our stay here was full of problems. WiFi was down when we got there. I reported this and was given some trouble shooting instructions. When it didn't work, I was told to check my device and see if that was the problem. I'm no tech wizard but I know when the problem is my own device or the network. They did send someone to fix it the next day. Come to find out a new router had been installed but the network was never actually set up. Seems like a pretty big oversight if you're offering WiFi to your guests. There was no central heat, just a wall heater in the dining area and space heaters in the bedrooms. Well using one of those of the main living area blew a breaker which meant we lost use of that main heater, the TV and pretty much all the outlets in the living area. We didn't find the breaker box till the next morning. I was freezing all night long upstairs. Slow draining sink and shower in one of the bathrooms. The property management apparently doesn't provide kitchen basics like salt and pepper. That seems odd to me. The biggest issue with this place was that there was a lot mouse poop in one of the bedrooms and scattered throughout the house. There were a bunch of this plug in pest deterrents bit either they weren't actually working or this had been there a while. Either way, it's totally unacceptable. I reported this to two different guest hotlines and was told that it would be taken care of. Nothing happened with it. No cleaner was sent over. Nothing. I ended up calling the guest services number and reporting everything again and asked for a refund or transfer to a different place. This all happened within a few hours of check in. The next morning I still had not heard anything regarding my request so I sent an email reiterating everything we'd found to be wrong with the house. I was told I'd get a refund of $263 due to subpar cleaning. Finding mouse poop is not just subpar cleaning. The first two email responses I received seemed like they weren't taking the issue very seriously. After I sent another email I did get a response that finally felt like they were actually going to look into this and make sure it for taken care of. We ended up checking out a day early so we only stayed one of the two nights we had booked. The state of this house plus the lack of urgency in taking care of issues makes me want to avoid vacasa rentals altogether. These are things that a guest who is trying to enjoy a vacation shouldn't have to deal with.
We greatly enjoyed our stay in this cabin. There was enough room for grandparents, parents, and grandkids. We were able to make breakfast and dinner in the kitchen and relax together both outdoors and indoors. The cabin is only a six-minute drive to the lake, and there are a lot of easily accessible bike trails. There were a lot of small things that need to be updated or repaired, such as the oven ventilation and sliding screen door. However, this was definitely worth what we paid for it. Be sure to bring extra toilet paper and paper towels, though!
Nos encantó la estadía en esta cabaña , cumplió todas mis expectativas.
The house is in a good area and has everything you need in a house.
This house was spacious and very clean. The kitchen was well stocked as far as pots, pans, dishes, etc. There were plenty of clean towels. It’s a lovely property. The only reason I gave it 4 rather than 5 stars is that the furnace is not large enough to adequately warm the entire house. There are space heaters which definitely helped in the bedrooms but the larger living areas were cold.
The location is great- pretty close to everything. That is what I loved. Oh, and the kitchen was stocked with most cooking essentials.
