We love the whole house. very clean. And nice beautiful location, had a chance to wake up to the gorgeous view of Lake Tahoe.!
The best part of this house, is the location. The close proximity to the lake, access to the private Chambers club pool and beach, and the restaurant are all definite pluses. The house itself, really could benefit from a refresh. Read the other comments from past guests. We experienced similar issues. This house could be fantastic if they just put a little TLC into it.
Loved this property. The huge room upstairs with four beds was perfect for our four college boys and the three oter beds suited the little guys and my wife and I perfectly. The heaters worked great, the view out the backyard is amazing!. the massive kitchen table was a lifesaver for nightly meals and games. Will definitely return to this property. It just finished snowing before we arrived (at night) so the short road up to the property was slick and steep but our minivan, with no chains, made it ok. Very close to the lake and an easy drive to Palisades each day.
The scenery from the deck is absolutely beautiful! We only used the downstairs since it was just 2 of us. The location of the home also worked out great whether we were exploring the Northside or Southside of the lake. The home set up made us feel right at home.
The house was spotlessly clean. All bedding and towels fresh and clean, looked new as well. All beds were made up. The kitchen was well stocked except for glasses and plates. The house sleeps 12 and there were eight plates, 6 glasses, and 8 coffee cups.....not enough. The floorplan was delightful. Easy to to bring paraphenalia in and out of the wide central hallway. Furnishing nice. The only problem was lack of Cable TV.
The location was spectacular. Quiet neighborhood walking distance to Chambers. The Chambers pool pass and shuttle access was awesome. The ac in the family room and upstairs bedrooms was awesome and the layout was nice with a large entryway to leave shoes, beach bags, etc. While the location and Chambers access were awesome amenities there were several issues we had with the cabin. The master bedroom upstairs had an old rug with curled up edges that was a tripping hazard for our older parents so we had to move it out of the way for the stay. There was a set of 6 lamps in the bedrooms and not one of them worked. Several were on bedstands with no outlet within reach of them and the ones that were plugged in did not work. This left one light for the two downstairs bedrooms (and one of these lights had several bulbs that were out). There was a constant stream of carpenter ants in the kitchen and the upstairs bedroom. When we were stripping the bed we found several in the sheets. We actually contacted the manager about this and he offered to send someone out to spray but we didn't want to deal with that on vacation. The barbecue was locked with a combination lock. We reached out to the manager for the combo and never received a response so we couldn't use it. Several of the outside chairs were unstable and couldn't be used. The sectional in the living room was very odd. It almost seemed like the cushions were for a different couch. The two pieces of it were not attached and would separate. The downstairs bathroom door or floor was warped and we could not close the door without it making a horribly loud sound. The ceiling fan upstairs was covered in so much dust I told the kids not to use it. There were lots of cobwebs so it made us a little uneasy about how clean the rest of the house was. After reading prior reviews it seems like some of these issues have been ongoing which is unfortunate given the nice location and neighborhood.
