Whaler's Point, located in a very prestigious gated community a short distance south of central Seaside, is the perfect romantic getaway. Get a babysitter and come to this elegant home with a 180-degree view from Tillamook Head to Astoria. Treat your loved ones to a special meal prepared in the kitchen and served with candles at the dining room table or in front of the fire. The master bedroom has a king bed, a bath with a jetted tub, and marble and granite everywhere. The views are to die for! There is a second bedroom with a queen bed and bath looking out onto a private garden. It's situated on a cliff above a whitewater cove (the cliff is the reason we recommend against children staying here). You could see a whale or an eagle from your vantage point. If you want to impress someone you love, this is the place. The view of the ocean was lovely! The complex is immediately across from the trailhead for Tillamook Head, which is a great hike. It is not walkable to town, restaurants, shops, etc.., however. The complex and unit were very quiet and clean.

The kitchen was great, the primary suite was great, and the ocean view was great. It's also a lovely location for walking around or for a very short drive to seaside or Cannon Beach. I would come again if it was just me and my partner, but the second bedroom was basically unusable because the mattress was unbelievably hard and there was super-bright light shining through the window all night. Both of those are easy fixes - blackout shades and a mattress topper. The light was so bad the first night we actually contacted Vacasa and they came over and pinned up a sheet over the window, which was a huge help. I swear I'm not a complainer (don't think I've ever complained about a rental before), but this was pretty bad. Overall, we had a really nice stay, though.
